This kind of reminds me of like a next-generation Scrambler flat ride. Nice Work! 10/10 Would ride again!

this is a amazing flat ride that could actually work in the real world! only when the floor drops it reveals something to give that thrill factor like water spikes or fire.

Jacob Nichols and time the water jets to just miss the cars as they whip around the hub, squirt squirt, lol
@visionist76 жыл бұрын
Oh, yeah: at night the water jets would flash with changing coloured lights! I don't think the fire is a good idea though, it would look amazing and scare the sh!t out of riders but having fire directly below riders is a No No, unless it's very tame little gas jets maybe, turned off when it's windy

I appear to be 11 years too late but I'd ride this shit out of this

@Superkyllingibsen Thanks for the tips :) I had to keep the center rotation slow, b/c there was a fine balance to the random rotation of the seats: too fast and half of them would flip the same way every time; too slow and the other half would just oscillate back and forth. The random movement of the seats also warrants a slower rotation, due to unpredictable negative g's. Arms spin in opposite directions so their paths can interfere and create the effect of constant collisions between riders.

Those gondolas are strong!(the arms that are attached to the seats)

I would go more of the booster design with the free-spinning seats and put the axis more near the head. That way, there's more weight on one side than the other and creates a more extreme ride. Other than that, AMAZING WORK!

what would be the dimensions of such a ride ?
@nannerdw8 жыл бұрын
Arm axes of rotation are on a 12m dia. circle, in loading position. Seat axes of rotation are on 7.3m dia. circles. max angle: 45 degrees

The floor would raise back up at the end ;)
@visionist76 жыл бұрын
nannerdw it would be better without the moving floor, more reliable. Could the arms be configured to raise the arms at a more acute angle to avoid hitting a fixed floor?

Exactly I thought the same thing. The riders in the most outer position during the spinning cycle are also in the lowest position. Double the G force. That's why most rides like this with spinning crosses on the arms of a bigger carousel, do the opposite: you reach the highest point on the outside. This results in a much smoother ride.
