Great video and cracking fish. I'd be interested in what you use for leaders also. Took the travel todos to Cape Verde and hooked into some very large Jacks but was let down by the leader. They chewed through 80lbs floro.

wow! I use 50lb fluro for the bluefish, 80-100lb fluro for tropical fishing

@lurefishingfromtheshore-gr8270 That's interesting. There was something very toothy out there. I borrowed a wire leader from another Angler and it got crimped and the plastic stripped from it on the next hit. Next time I will get it. 😄

Well done,I'd love to try your big lures in Ireland off the rocks in Co Clare, I hit porbeagle while reeling in Pollock mackerel and scad on light gear. A few summers ago, well I think it was porbeagle. No seals around

What about bluefin Tuna? Are you getting them close to shore? Ive seen some in close in Portugal
@SpiralMoss4 ай бұрын
@@lurefishingfromtheshore-gr8270 I haven't seen any, but supposedly they have been seen outside Kilkee bay a few years ago. A diver told me a shoal passed through and were quite big around September I think. I know you need permission or something to catch them from boats. But I must find out what happens if you catch one from the shore. Although if one takes the lure off the top water, it's nobody's fault 🤣 I've seen what looked like porpoises moving out far loads of them then again it could have been tuna coming to the surface and going down again. I couldn't make out if it was whale like or fish.
