For me, the early run of FF was like a grand cosmic explosion of heroic imagination. One magnificent creation followed by the next. Galactus and the Silver Surfer. The Inhumans. Doctor Doom. The Watcher. If you were reading these as they were coming out it was such a wonderful experience. Jack Kirby and Stan Lee were at the peak of their creativity. To a 12 -year old boy it was the equivalent of a great new Star Wars movie coming out on a monthly schedule. A magical time to be sure. I'm really happy the wheel gave you the FF. 🤩

I'm glad you got Fantastic Four. I agree there was a period in the 90s where it went off the rails a bit, but it's pretty solid overall.

Two comic vids in a week, you spoil us. I laughed when I saw X-Men on the list, you like playing with fire, a narrow escape. I like where the wheel ended, it was as if it was meant to be.

Apparently, with 18,400 subscribers, more than just a few us watch your comic book videos Michael. In fact, we await each new one with great anticipation. Which is why I'll forgive that slur on Ka-Zar. This time. Fantastic Four and Amazing Spider-Man are Marvel's two marquee titles for me. While Hulk was a founding member of the Avengers, it didn't take a genius to foresee trouble in the ranks and it wasn't long before he was fighting his form teammates in a plot development that absolutely every reader saw coming. Crom has decreed that you will read the FF but don't neglect the first 24 issues of Conan The Barbarian, with its magnificent Barry Windsor-Smith art.

I'm reading through Daredevil at the moment, from Stan all the way up to Zdarsky, including as many miniseries as I can find. Already Struggling on the Stan issues in the first omnibus! But looking forward to getting through and seeing the gradual darkening of the character with Wolfman, Shooter and McKenzie's issues. I also have fond memories of the Denny O'Neil run which followed on from Miller.

Im currently reading thru every FF run on Marvel Unlimited. I'm on issue 97 of the first volume, but im not on a timetable. Ive already read many issues of FF, but now im going thru every damn one!

I did a deep dive into the Avengers just before all the movies came out because I loved the era where Vision was the lead when I was a kid. He's probably my favorite of the Marvel pantheon, though I have mixed feelings about all the deaths and reboots they did with the character in the 90s and beyond. I'd like to get my hands on the original Vision comics from the 40s, though it's a different character.

Can’t go wrong with the FF. I love those early issues when Stan and Jack were figuring it all out.

I was thinking you might have put The Defenders onto the wheel, but I guess the reprints are a bit sparse for that series. I enjoyed Steve Gerber’s time on the series, oddly enough.

If I had all these runs in their entirety, I'd have to read them all concurrently to experience the crossovers and benefits of the Stan Lee virus. If I could just choose one though, I think I'd be X-men - it seems like it'd be the most dynamic. Or Doctor Strange, which wasn't an option for some reason.

OK, firstly, and most importantly, your result is invalid because of the egregious ommission of Doctor Strange. Don't forget that between tales of Suspense, and Iron Man #1, there was Iron Man & Sub-Mariner #1, that used up a couple of left over half issues length stories, before IM & SM got their own titles. I expect the Epic collections will cover you there. The Hulk was in Tales to Astonish, not Tales of Suspense. I'm glad you don't have to read the Spider-Man close saga ahain, at least.
