the 'darker' more captivating pad sound sounds like it harks back more to '93, but the drum programming and editing is more reminiscent of later, 94/95 era - maybe even later when the bass gets going. The whole thing just melds together rather beautifully, and the joy you personally experience coupled with the joy you create is a match made in heaven. Cheers to you! :)

I think he has explained some of it in an earlier video from a while back. From what I can remember, it's mostly layered one-shots arranged on the pads in a way that makes sense to him when playing.
