You should be able to take long logs with the skidder too! Just drag them on the ground, thats why its called a skidder :P

How do you activate cruise control ?

Press and hold R3 until the centre knob of the gearstick turns white. You can't pan the camera in cruise control though as you'll end up changing gear instead

No idea on the handbrake, but I just got the shifter add-on for my G29 so will be trying a fully-manual gearbox next time I play
