Its very rare to see a spiral architect cover. Particularly a bass line. The clarity of your tone sir is tremendous! Which almost identical to the original. Though i love your tone sir! @Less Than Nothing... I think I remember an Ultimate Metal forum post where Norberg says he played with a normal fretted bass on the album. Still has some of that fretless sound though.

Agreed. Why hasn’t Lars K Norberg done more? I’ve heard he is a member of Parliament (politics) or something like that. He’s my favorite bass player. I was exited to lean that he was in Ihsahn’s band for a while. I need more Norberg. He should be a high-demand session player!

Hazardeur Most session bass players tend to be awesome but not in a position to showcase their virtuosity, so I get what you mean. I’m still surprised at least not many Norwegian metal/prog bands have hired him. They may have attempted to, for all I know

My goodness, I've listened to this song since I was a teen so like, 20 years, it's amazing to hear the bass like this. I had always known it was intricate but you really shone a spotlight on that, and with some remarkable execution on your end too. 10/10 great stuff!

Not progressive metal -- it's referred to as technical death metal -- but you may want to check out Martyr. You may have to type in the name of the albums to find the right thing. Chronologically ascending order: 1. Hopeless Hopes, 2. Warp Zone, 3. Feeding the Abscess

I found that we can play this song without using 5th string. I confirm a original CD paper, Lars uses 4th strings bass which similar to PHILIP KUBICKI fretless bass!
