How do you get over your fear of flying? Because I have both a fear of flying and a fear of heights. 🫣😵‍💫 I am supposed to go see my girlfriend in Medellin. But I'm trying to get over my fear of flying. I haven't flown since I was 9 yrs old. And you'd think I wouldn't have any fear at all, but I do. I want to go to Medellin soon this year.

Flying can seem scary at times, but just remember that flying commercially is one of the safest forms of transportation. The pilots, mechanics, and engineers are all trained professionals and not random people racing recklessly in the streets just after getting their license. It may seem unthinkable to you, but one way of getting over the fear is to fly more. You'll get used to the different sounds, smells, sensations, during different stages of the flight. Some people upload full flight videos, where you'd be aware of the different sounds; Skylite Productions is a good channel for that. I think there are also videos on KZbin that explain different sounds and what they mean. I also think there are videos about getting over the fear of flying, so a quick search could be beneficial. It can be beautiful seeing the world from above, that's why I usually select the window seat, but if you have a fear of heights, an aisle seat or keeping the window shade closed would prevent you from seeing outside. I hope you end up going to Medellín with your girlfriend, it's a great city!

@@UpandAwayViation Thanks for the info. Yeah, my girlfriend wants me to come see her soon. September has a special day, it's called the day of love. And I want to be there with her that day. She's been lonely a lot lately. So I'll focus on that while I'm flying. I think the two things that bother me on a plane is, I get motion sickness and being so high up. I know a lot of my anxiety comes from watching too much KZbin videos. I've been trying to watch things that aren't gory and deadly. I used to watch it a lot. But I've cut it out of my life for good. So watch things that are positive and funny.
