WTIU's Spirit of Brown County explores the art, history, and culture that developed out of the rugged and beautiful landscape of Brown County, Indiana! It is a popular tourist destination known for its beautiful vistas and colorful autumn foliage. The site of an arts movement started by painter T.C. Steele, Brown County is now home to many artists, musicians and scholars.

we own land in brown county but live in indy and we have left it wild jmany offers for the land but well never sell were we live indy has lost all its farms woods and a lot of wild amimals and its sad nature is treasure so i hope those in bc know why we leave the land untouched i love bc

My Mother's side of the family were all Fraziers who go back to the 1700's. It's all gone.... The Great creeks full of fish and big frogs... As a little kid, I was in heaven.... Nowadays, it's all strip malls and motels...😞💔

I went to IU from 00-05, I grew up outside Chicago. I had so much fun but when I was younger and I would venture off campus usually to go to Ponderosa, Id look around and think how boring life is for the locals. Here I am, almost 41 and I bought 10 acres in a secluded area, still looking for a prebuilt Amish Cabin but I plan to move in full time in 4 years.
