Spirit of LA All City Band 2003

Listen to the Spirit of LA All City's 300 Band Members and 37 Auxiliary. This was performed by the 2003 Los Angeles All District Honor Band. Special thanks to the Directors Anthony L. White, Art Duarte, Fran Herman, Noel Collins, Elaine Collins, Darnella Davidson and Frank Rico.
All of the music is arranged by Dr. Kenneth Dye, Director of Bands, University of Notre Dame.

This was recorded for the celebration of the 30th Anniversary of being involved with the Tournament of Roses Parade. 1973-2003. "Who is the Best Band in the Parade?!" "All City Sir!!!"

Man I went through quite a few transitions the 3 of 4 years I marched in All City. Started on Quads, then went up for Trumpet 2nd line, then went up for Snare year. Missed Jr year due to being sick, Senior year was one of the better years for me. Made Right Guide 2nd line, Snare in '05. (Graduating year) afer going up for Drum Major & Snare right Guide but deciding I wanted to play my heart out for my last March. Mr. White & Staff definitely made these moments memorable for us. THIS year tho ('03) I made right guide 5th Bass Drum (The Largest one)... Damn good times, *Far From Over* will always be one of my and I'm sure many other's favorite songs of the All City Band lineup. Was the only Drummer who made it through All tryouts, rehearsals/practices from my school those years also. Represented Locke High School Drum line C/O '05 BABY!

2014-2017 trumpet screamer from San Fernando high school. I was the only from my high school to go to all city for 4 years in a row. My senior year I found out that I wasn’t alone and Mr. White gave myself and a few other students a shoutout for representing their schools for 4 years alone as well
