Oooooh wow, this is not a track you usually see redone, I love that theme ! The way you took the instruments from the OG Overworld theme and made them sound a little more sinister is so good ! I don't know what they are, but I love the very sharp "stick percussions" in the background ? It gives it a very nice rhythm !

I definetly sounds either like a horse, a mechanical machine (eg locomotive) or something else. But i dislike the panflute because it sounds definetly off by a 1/4 note in the first part at the end of that.

I like how you bring this song some harmony. I love the original, but I always felt the song was a little broken up due to some of the volumes on certain instruments being overpowering while others were too soft. In this version everything just mixes much better, making me love a personal favorite even more.

It really is that quick D minor 9th in the strings in the first section that perfectly creates that feeling of a harsh, bitter, painfully cold frost. The kind that bites the tips of your fingers if your hands are ungloved for too long. There's a morbidity there; it's a reminder of winter's harsh beauty; a season that can be deadly, yet has the possibility of renewal. I can imagine Link shivering round the back of his train, arms folded, the vapour from his breath visible. Struggling against the cold. But persevering. That's what I feel the overall feeling of this piece is. Persevering against all the odds.
