he actually writes most of his music from what I know and is heavily involved in the writing process! Fun fact- he freestyled his verse on his I think im OKAY track with MGK- they recorded his part in like 10-15 minutes because MGK had a meeting with Travis Barker on the same day!

I really enjoy how you analyse a song.Yungblud did a lot of cool stuff with this song. He has the main MV but also did one filmed during a spontaneous meet up where they went and projected Hope For The Underrated Youth on the houses of parliament somewhat illegally. He also did a live with orchestra version. I highly recommend you check out his performance of this at Reading and Leeds fest though if you want to get to know him better because this song is a different creature with a crowd and all of his stuff is very much made with the intention of live performance. Yungblud has a lot of cool stuff, he tends to write either about a topical kind of story or with a message so the lyrics are always interesting. His songs like I Love You Will You Marry Me (his first release), 11 Minutes, Polygraph Eyes are more centred around a narrative style and ones like King Charles or Psychotic Kids are more a direct message. He tries a lot of styles though so if you don't like his vocals in one you might in another because he stylises a lot on some songs and sometimes goes for deliberate distortion. And yes he writes everything himself- he plays multiple instruments too but has a regular band- guitarist (Adam) and drummer (Mikey) who have been with him since he was like 18 and had 0 money.

Yungblud will tell his producers and band mates the kinda sound he's thinking of and they'll work on it together that way from what we've seen. He's also more focussed on having a crazy show rather then his vocals when he plays livr.

From what I've seen of Yungblud's creative process he usually writes songs on guitar or piano and then together with his band mates and producer they write the other instruments. I have also seen that his guitarist had a riff and he took that as inspiration for a song but he is very much involved in the writing of the songs Also since you really like "emo" music you should really check out a band called Trash Boat. They are quite the small band but they mix pop punk with hardcore in a very unique style and their lyrics are truly on a different level

Yungblud is unbelievably amazing. His music has so much meaning to so many people. I suggest listening to a few more of his songs to get a taste of how versatile his style can be. Tin pan boy was one of his first songs he released and I love you will you marry me is pretty good too. I managed to party with him in London and he is just the nicest being. I won't lie I listen to vintage country music. Johnny Cash and Waylon Jennings for example. I started listening to Youngblud through KZbin reccomended list and it just brought me back to when mainstream music had personality.
