The scripture this song is about is deep, there was a great tempest that came against their boat, Jesus was asleep, they screamed and called him , Lord, save us , we perish..and when he woke up he asked them a question of rebuke "Why are you so fearful, O ye of little of Faith" and after that he rebuked the winds and the sea ane their was a great Calm ...Jesus didn't expect them to wake him up, no but he expected them to have Faith enough to rebuke the storm and the sea , he expected them to be calm and know they won't perish ...I mean if They didnt wake him up then it means he would sleep until they reach the shore...he knew that they will arrive at their destination regardless of what comes against him ...in other words he is our peace in the storm , we will sleep while wolves are raging outside and we shall not fear , we will wake up in the morning unharmed, the wolves will be confused 🔥🙆🏿kaaaai

My late uncle taught me this song a few days before he passed away in 1995.he had bedridden for days, he stood up one evening, took di fela tsa sione hymn book and asked me to take a walk with him around our neighborhood, he then asked me to sing the song as we walked about until we got home. The troubled winds of disease were silence when he took his last peaceful sleep🙏
