Thank you brother for the wise words. My question is what do you do in a situation where you have certain family members who constantly defile and slander your name wherever they go and they even indirectly let you know what they think about you. Forgiveness is what we do as Christians but do you still visit such people or let them in your space? I've noticed that the moment time spent with them I'm defile spiritually...Offense comes yes but with Gods intervention I forgive until they pop again..Vicious cycle.

You need to understand the meaning of forgiveness. The word forgiveness means you free yourself from resentment and anger because they block your prayers and when we forgive we are also forgiven of our sins by our father in heaven. But putting up with the same unrepentant people hinders your blessings, and its lack of self love and healthy boundaries. You can never breakthrough when surrounded by such people because they are agents of darkness. The best you can do for yourself is to love them from away . Cut yourself loose. If there’re people you are attracted to ask the Holy Spirit how to do it. Some people are seasonal in your life and the quicker you learn this the more peace you will have in your life. Jesus preached at the temple but he did not hang out with just anybody, he had the twelve. And when he had something very important to do he only took the three, Peter John and James learn from him. Bad company is not recommended in the Bible, read the scriptures. 1 Corinthians 15:33
