In fact, each character in the series has their own prison, not only physical: Mahone's prison is losing his family Sucre lose his girlfriend and his daughter C noticed losing his family Linc losing LJ and his brother T bag not getting love from Susan sarah the drugs The ending is nice but sad because most of the characters have achieved freedom and happiness. Mahone no longer lives a slave to those pills or Shales, Linc has formed his family, Sucre has his family. Sara has a son and has forgotten drugs.

Watching it for the first time, I realised it was Lincoln and not Michael who picked up Mike - that was when the emotions hit me. The man who was so immensely capable and brilliant that he could save everyone, but himself. "He couldn't promise a miracle, but he'd always be trying. Lay it down slow, lay it down free, lay it down easy, but lay it on Michael.". Would've been the perfect ending song, just like breaking bad. My deepest appreciation for this series. We never cherish the freedom we have, until it's taken away from us and replaced with hell (in prison).

But when he felt part of the group, he was willing to give his life for them. You realize the characters are very well created and developed when you think about it.

Each character's ending in the show was great. C note tried tirelessly to protect his family and now gets to be with them. Kellerman is successful but can never escape what he has done. T-bag is changing. He's still a horrible person but you can tell he was enjoying freedom and may have even been turning good. Unfortunately he still had to pay for his crimes. The general has been put in the same position he once put Lincoln in. Don is now closer to his wife in the way that he is now paralyzed. Each of the characters final moments were perfectly executed

In the case of villains: The general ends as Lincoln was going to end, poetic justice, in the end he loses everything, he loses his company, freedom and money because of his own actions. Don ends up like his wife ended up. T Bag comes back to square one even worse as he comes back crippled. All of his companions are free, some are alive and others are not, but they are all free, he is imprisoned for life and the saddest thing is that he could have been Cole and be a good and prosperous salesman and he could have allied himself with Michael to achieve the exoneration. But for being an idiot he has ended up where he has ended up. Kellerman gets a position but can't escape his past crimes. I would have liked to see the reaction of Pope, Nika, C Note or Frankly to Michael's death by electrocution.

I honestly felt sorry for Don when I saw him like that, when I saw C-Note he summed up how much shit they went through to get where they were in the end, and they were finally free, seeing T-Bag back in prison was an amazing shot, going through all that just to end up back in prison. And I don’t even have to say anything for Michael, he put his all into saving others and the people he loves, I literally cried when I saw his grave

Prison break is not just a series It's a life It express the family, relationship,friendship, love, sincerity. How strong That relaion between the two brothers , that we can't find a same of it in this time. How could one of them be ready to die to save the other. Really I learned a lot of things from this series and it will still have an effect to me for ever.

For me the prison break ends in that specific episode... Not even 23... Not even season 5 episode 9... Prison break ends at season 4 episode 22 and it was the best possible ending... I’ve cried for hours, not just for Michael or the song, but for all...They made it the best tv show ever in history! So many details like Michael JR tattoo(reminds us his father) or like the quote at the grave(Sara’s senior year quote)... So many details that “drive” to perfection!

@@sammyshehole I think the whole problem was that the second half of season 4 just wasn't thought out enough, and then they made the movie which gave us an anti climatic death of michael, you'd think after all the times he's almost died he would go out with a more thought out death where he truly got out-smarted/defeated but nope, they killed him because it was the only way to save sarah. I was unsatisified with the death, I teared up when they showed his grave but when i watched how he died, i was just disappointed. season 5 changed that, s5 has a lot of plot holes but atleast it fixed the horrible death the movie gave us, and there is a s6 planned so I don't think s5 is the end of prison break, meaning s5 could potentially become a great season if they make s6 good. another great thing is the whole cast is willing to do another season so atleast we won't be disapponted there.
