Spaceman. Jason Pierce. Genius. Spiritualized my 2nd favorite live band going back years, close 2nd to Nick Cave. I’m electric, but he can do no wrong. Gorgeous. Wow. Intimate. You blow my mind every time.Thank you Jason for helping save my soul. This is my medication for today. Escape from reality for a few. Healing. Powerful. Revolution. I could go on Forever. So many great memories. The 2nd thing I miss the most during the pandemic is seeing live shows of my few favorite bands. ❤️🖤💀

2010. Now it`s 2021, most of these songs were written in the 90`s, my profound fear is that music like this, born of another time, of another set of ideals, values and spirit will die out..
@stevepeters3961 Жыл бұрын
It won’t, there will always be carriers of the torch of great music. I used to feel like this but look at Derek Trucks, Susan, and Billy Strings

As long as human beings walk the earth no matter how hard others try to beat the wrong types of ideals and values into people - greed, viewing the least fortunate and least privileged as being less worthy and less deserving of a dignified existence, the goal of accruing and keeping as much wealth for yourself at all costs, simply not caring about others - the majority of humanity will never cast aside the true values, ideals, and spirit which make our species wonderful. Love and compassion for our fellow man, the desire that one day the future shall be glorious for all and that all shall have a sense of worth and happiness and contentment, the knowledge that life is too precious a gift to willingly keep others down for your own greed, are too deeply ingrained in us all; sometimes buried so deep they appear absent altogether but we're social animals, the day societies discover the myriad benefits to be had from raising everyone to the same level and rejecting individual gain at the expense of others - and they will - the values which truly matter will prevail even in those where they lie dormant. Love conquers all.

What’s even more interesting is that his former Spacemen 3 partner also covered this song with his Spectrum band….released around 1992. Is this Jason tipping his hat to Sonic Boom while honouring the great Daniel Johnston?
