I was really excited to hear this song in the Date a Live pv. I never imagined I'd be hearing Globus in an anime trailer.

it looks like someone tried to scribble all over the text but they ran out of ink... but this is coming from someone raised in the UK

Globus said that it's a mixture of Old Hebrew, Aramaic, Greek, Latin, and Arabic. The title, for example, is a mixture of Latin and Hebrew meaning "Spirit of Eternal Life". Previous versions of the song are named things like Spiritus Sancte. They're all names of the Judeo-Christian God.

until the 24th second, the lyric is Hebrew,after that, the female sound is totally Arabic but with some ambiguous words that is hard to understand even for a native Arabic speaker, the ambiguity is due to the weird rhythm and the enormous diversity of the Arabic dialects, the background orchestra voice is most likely Latin
@DarkWolf13378 жыл бұрын
+Omar Hassan The background is Latin however its very hard to isolate what they are saying for a proper translation. I have let to find post anywhere of anyone figuring out what eh words are that the moment.
@andromilk26347 жыл бұрын
That's because not all Arabic variants are mutually intelligible. For example, I'm a speaker of Levantine Arabic and I have a hard time understanding a North African variety.
@zestiny58107 жыл бұрын
Andromilk This is Egyptian. I was able to understand a considerable amount of the arabic part with latin making the rest of it impossible to fathom..also the music song seems to cover the end of each sentence.
@abdessamedmansouri63556 жыл бұрын
I'm from north africa and I can understand some of arabic lyrics I can understand also levantine dialect execpt some words but okey for the whole speech.
@SammEater2 жыл бұрын
I don't the lyrics are meant to be understood though, the voice part of the song is just used like another instrument, the lyrics are not really important just the rhythm that they are being sung.

There are three other versions of the song that I’m aware of. Spiritus Sancte came first. Then Spiritus Omnia. Then Spiritus Elektros. And this one is the final version, Spiritus Kayyam. They've progressively gotten more epic, but they're all amazing, like you said.

"Globus is the commercial name of a mix of producers, musicians and vocalists from the prominent movie trailer music" so it is "commercial orchestral trailer music" i believe.

@Nav105 Globus is just part of a larger company, many of their songs tend to sound the same. Preliator for instance sounds like another song, Lacrimosa which is by Immediate Music. And Globus is part of them.
