I LOVE these videos. Please please keep creating them. I pored over the Spitfire Mk V manual as a young teenager but found it left me with more questions than answers. Your videos are just brilliant.

Hi, I love your video, but i have a question the fuselage of radiator is not acting like a airbrake? i mean In other spitfire variations as spit mk 9 and mk Lf 9 have two of that, and in the variant griffon makes more bigger. so i wonder that.

It is true that the radiator assembly fitted to the Spitfire Mk.V would produce drag, but it was not designed to be an airbrake, just for cooling the engine.

Another great video Brian, thank you for your efforts. Would you consider doing a video series on a later griffon powered spitfire such as a MkXIV? It would be interesting to see the various changes made in comparison to the MkV.
