Nicely ended the trip of Spiti. Big thanks to you to show up the driver of traveller van. You need great skills to drive in this Spiti terrain. I drove from Chandigargh to spiti to Manali in a M Thar and I know how much carefully you have to drive the vehicle in this terrain.

Super brings back old memories, trekked from kunzum stupas to chandrataal lake in Sept 2018. Managed to get a few magnificent shots of the lake. 2 days after I was there, we had a bad winter storm that shut the whole bhaba valley for about 8 days . Heard a few people lost their lives at chandrataal lake and the Indian army was called to rescue the stranded tourist. Was stuck at kaza for 8 days. The plan was to trek from Mud across bhaba pass. Was lucky enough to be able to do it again in 2019.

It was going back in time 20 yrs back when I did this stretch the other way - from manali to batal to kazA to peo to sangla to kharcham to rampur to kufri to chail to kalla. The entire stretch was done in 14 days by local bus, walking from grampho to cchatru under darkness, and by hitchhiking. It costed 2 guys 5000 bucks in 2001..
