I can't believe these kicks are the new norm.. i guess i've out grown hardstyle, and soon hardcore. :( used to love these genres, but apparently people don't like deep kicks with good low end anymore.

1. This isn't even Hardstyle, it's Uptempo which is a subgenere of Hardcore. 2. Most modern Hardstyle and Hardcore have deep kicks, it's the punch that they lost. Hardstyle lost punchy kicks in 2012. Uptempo doesn't have as many punchy kicks as standard Hardcore, it's more about crunch kick drum with low bass reverse or gated kick, which lead to Zaags.

Uptempo is just becoming more popular. A lot of new tracks these days will have 2-3 different kicks in the same track and the end is very different from the beginning. I don't know if that has a name, but my old-man-brain says why not just make two tracks then? :) Genres evolve.

I'm 44 and only ever been to Defqon.1 once in 2022.. A couple times to Masters of Hardcore back when HARDCORE was just that.. HARDCORE. In 2022 the BLUE/INDIGO stages had this kind of crap and I steered clear as far away as I could. This should not be allowed to infect the BLACK stage ever.. hardcore itself has obviously changed over the years, but this is definitely not it.

It's uptempo that's how it go's if ya don't like it don't listen to it. It is a comment section and you can comment what ever you want. But negativity isn't needed in the harder styles. Keep it pushing or don't complain it's quiet simple
