The “Super Fan” that brought the original Heavyweight Championship Belt for Biz to wear was Walt Holdren. I remember him telling me the story. He used to bring it to the games. Biz asked him to make sure to bring it early to the game and Billy Higgins put it with the sticks before pregame warmups. That’s when Biz picked it up and skated around with it. Walt told me that Biz “got into trouble” after using it and they didn’t want him to bring it to anymore games. I’m happy to see that the tradition is continuing with the current players and Billy. That’s awesome.
