What an amazing facility. Treat the players well and they will play for the staff. Simple in collegiate hockey and only a few do it, but most say they do. Great video, thanks for doing it. 😊

UND alum here…. 1999-2003. Got the best of both worlds. Saw a National Championship, had 2 years in the Old Ralph which was legendary and 2 years at the New Ralph! I used to be inline e penalty box seats to! So glad the traditions are still alive!

My son, who plays youth hockey, and I had the privilege of touring the Notre Dame locker room. Very similar in appearance and amenities for the players. He eventually was able to play a game on Notre Dame ice. It was a fantastic experience. This was an awesome piece. Great job. What I love is how much this player loves his team, coach, his family, his church, and is so humble at the same time. Respect!✊

I came to the comments to say this similar thing. Notre Dame has a very similar lockerroom to the North Dakota lockerroom. I dare say, a tad better. Along with the commenter in this thread, I too play at Compton Arena on thursdays for the beer league. At the end of the season, the teams and family members get the opportunity to tour the lockerroom. I wish I could post pictures here but it is quite an impressive experience.

I was able to catch a game there last season… it is absolutely amazing!! The atmosphere is even better. Grand Forks is all about UND Hockey, such a great environment 💚

I forget how old I was but I went to a camp there for a week. Boarded at the university which was super cool and we got worked by the current players. It was such a cool experience. Unfortunately the arena didn't look like this when I was there. I mean the walls and history was but the skill room was different. I think the weight room was the same but I don't remember the other room attached. I think we saw the lockerroom but it wasn't this one that's for sure. Saw a lot of cool things and definitely an experience I'll never forget

Years ago I took my Aunt and Uncle to a game there against Wisconsin. Upper bowl front row seats, best seats in the house I tells ya. You could see everything from there clear as day. Sioux won 3-1. We had a blast.

I was an air traffic controller for 32+ years. Worked at the tower in Grand Forks for 5 years. Hardest place i worked. Short staffed and all the student pilots. The Ralph was built when i lived there. Went to a couple games.

As extravagant as this is, it's good for North America hockey. With a vibrant US college league it will just up the compete level and quality of hockey in general. They will match if not already surpass the Canadian feeder system (OHL, QMJHL, WHL)
