SPK Word Power Competition

Word Power Competition for std VI to IX was
organized on 22 nd August 2019 in our school AV Hall.
Tamil Word Power Contest has many benefits for school
children. It helps them to build language, literacy and
develop their thinking capability. Learning to word power
can help children to develop their vocabulary skills. It can
also help improve coordination skills, reinforce critical
thinking and problem-solving skills and team work.
A range of emotions were felt in the happiness,
sadness, regret and excitement. Everyone waited with
baited breath for the announcement of the final scores.
Begonia House won the Word Power Competition
followed closely by Veronica House. Everyone clapped
and cheered for the ecstatic winning teams.
Although the other two houses, Acacia and Camellia,
succeeded in opening the account but could not make it to
the finals. There was much jubilation in the winning
teams.
Our School encourages positive competition and hopes to
bring out the best in all its students through such
competitive events, while ensuring that the children learn
through all possible ways- not just through books and
class-room teaching.
