Splash Mountain w/ All Animatronics Off (Disneyland)

Late night ride-through of a very broken Splash Mountain at DL. Almost all AAs in the ride were either completely off or were only moving their mouths and/or blinking (B mode?). A very select few AAs (namely the final B'rer AAs and maybe some others I can't remember) were unaffected.
I told a CM right after unloading. He was completely unaware of it and ended up shutting the ride down for the rest of the night.
Btw, we had our own log, so don't comment complaining about us yelling.

This happened to me when I went!! It was TERRIFYING. I'm still scarred! Ever since then I haven't wanted to go on even though it was my favorite ride. Now I have a fear of animatronics in water rides, so thanks splash mountain! 😂

They do but technical difficulties can happen anytime plus time ride has one of the most animatronics in a single ride, so it's hard to maintain this ride.

The cameras in the rides are solely to monitor guests and not show elements, so I'm not really surprised that they couldn't tell based off of cameras.

I'm kinda surprised the audio kept going in most places even though the figures weren't working! Doesn't the audio usually shut off if a character's not working? Or is that only for some of them? Also I loved Br'er Fox just talking casually as if nothing was wrong while he was frozen. When it's only their mouthes moving, it's just WRONG!

Attraction audio is controlled completely independently of animatronics, at least as far as I know.

I believe they usually manually shut off the audio only if an animatronic is missing, when they’re just frozen they usually keep the audio on.

Probably The Park was getting ready to close so they might off kept the music and sounds on but shut the animatronics off before people left so they could close the ride quicker

Yea ik this is late but in disney they dont cut the music off until every guest leaves the park and it still stays on for a little while longer probably till like 1:00
