Have you heard/read about Gretel and Hansel? Of course, it presents several versions of the same story. But well, this map has a little inspiration from this tale, in the part where two children get lost in the forest and find a stranger place. That said, come and follow Swiftpaw and Brightpaw's adventure in the forest at night, as they explore and discover unusual and wonderful things, but knowing the existence of a greater evil hiding in it, however the apprentices have a desire to prove to their clan their worth, but this maybe could cost their lives….

The thing is, they did get to grow up. They were just never considered adults because they weren’t given their ceremony. They were older than Cloudtail when he was given his warrior ceremony. Imagine doing all this work just to be ignored by the person you thought you could trust (bluestar) it sucks :/

It was definitely one of the most visceral and hard-hitting deaths in the first series, *especially* considering it happened off-screen and the audience learns of the details second-hand rather than directly viewing it. It hit kid me like a truck, and I think it's criminal that Swiftpaw's fate isn't mentioned more often in-universe; similar vein to my feelings of how 'A Shadow over Riverclan' is a fantastic manga, but _jesus christ that character development SHOULD HAVE BEEN in the ACTUAL MAIN SERIES BOOKS and not a spin-off like 11 years later_ . Like, thank god for the Swiftpaw animations and projects, bc that entire plotline with Tigerstar and the dogs doesn't get nearly enough credit for just how horrifying a fate that would be, and the gravity of just how far he was willing to go. The only thing I've come across really focusing on what would have happened had the plan not been rumbled in time to evacuate everyone is the 'Tiptoe through the Tulips' horror m.a.p., focusing specifically on a Thunderclan who was completely blindsided by the dogs, and a Tigerstar realizing that the reality of his plan was so much more brutal than he anticipated and that he no longer wanted this, but realizing it far too late

This is so whimsical and bittersweet, I teared up the moment they left ONLY cause I knew what happens to them both, there’s some gentle unfairness to it, especially with how kind and courageous they act towards one another. Everyone did such a good job of conveying that sense of adventure ^^* .... Also!! The host chose an orchestra piece for this map, which was honestly brilliant with the entire aesthetic of it. (The sense of adventure and peril, wonder and doom, conveyed through string instruments that can always make music sound like lightning and doom. It’s so. STRIKING) What a beautiful map ^=^!! the visuals remind me of Over the Garden Wall and old Disney films.

I don't know why but I feel like this could be a cautionary tale towards future generations of apprentices about why you should follow orders and do as your told or else dogs would try and eat your or something along those lines. Like older warriors/apprentices are telling the younger apprentices on why you shouldn't sneak out at night without telling anybody or else you will be in danger.

This is so beautiful. The way all of you portrayed them as young and carefree. Just 2 kids who wanted to do something great, but didn't understand the weight of the situation (perhaps due to the questionable ways of raising kits in warrior cats). The way all of you spent much of the MAP getting us attached to the characters. It at first seems contradictory to have so much of the MAP be lighthearted, but in the end, it all plays into the final scene. It makes the animation SCARIER. All of the parts were so cohesive, too, especially in the beginning. I would forget I was watching the work of many, not just one. Hats off to everyone who worked on this. You did an incredible job. This is, dare I say, the best MAP I have EVER seen.

Oh my days. I've been highly anticipating this MAP since the call for it came out and the team here did more than deliver. I fell in love with the concepts- not only because the song is one of my favorite classical pieces but because of the whimsical atmosphere, and the creativity of the designs of Swiftpaw and Brightpaw that juxtapose their innocence with the spooky and dangerous world they decided to venture into. The art and animation is top-notch, and their attention to detail and timing is immaculate. I was smiling the whole time when I was watching it for the first time. i knew it..! on the map call i commented that it would be one of my favorites, and it is! It's more heartbreaking than a lot of brightheart/swiftpaw content I've seen before, mainly because you can see them developing a relationship and caring about eachother so much on their journey.. you feel this sense of losing everything by the end where they lose their fight to the dogs. thanks for hosting this, every part really captured the style with a personal flare added to it, which is why i really love this map

This is the first map I’ve seen the uses classical music and I love it! Chilling. Absolutely chilling. It really tells the story perfectly. A true work of art, and the little dead body in swift paws dream, wonderful! The end had me in tears, especially swift paws death, and the thing with all the cats wearing bows and bright paws bow being ripped I saw as it showing her spirit being torn and saddened by the whole incident, I just love the whole thing overall, noice map folks! ❤❤❤❤❤❤

I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS AND I MISSED THE MAPATHON GOSH DARN IT Okay but seriously this is amazing and every single one of the parts is amazingly well done. Amazing song choice, animators, character designs and storyboard. Everything about this is eye candy- Awesome job! Edit: I love the water, the rain, the tears, the fireflies, the birds and the dogs. Everything is flawless. I really love the storyline here. I like how Swiftpaw is much more hesitant and responsible, while Brightpaw isn’t as cautious. If we got a Swiftpaw little graphic novel or super edition/novel I would want it to play out exactly like this.

Oh my days. I've been highly anticipating this MAP since the call for it came out and the team here did more than deliver. I fell in love with the concepts- not only because the song is one of my favorite classical pieces but because of the whimsical atmosphere, and the creativity of the designs of Swiftpaw and Brightpaw that juxtapose their innocence with the spooky and dangerous world they decided to venture into. The art and animation is top-notch, and their attention to detail and timing is immaculate. I was smiling the whole time when I was watching it for the first time. This whole project was just a joy to experience! I really hope to see more classical music-centered MAPs in the future. Happy Halloween and thanks for making it a little more special!

Oh my gosh...it's done. I remember when I first saw the storyboard, and now it's been fully brought to life. Although I kind of prefer the original storyboard (I'm sorry, your's and the other artist's for the storyboard fit so well) the animators are did AMAZING bringing Swiftpaw's and Brightpaw's adventure to life, and it would be completely unfair to not applaud them! Sadly though, we also got to see the fates of Swiftpaw and Brightpaw come to life. The poor two. And it will only get worse when Brightpaw finds out about the terrible fate of Swiftpaw.
