Jeremy Clark! Is Ubuntu a browser that needs to be installed for Splat to work?

Rubidio: There is a windows version of Splat as well. I used Ubuntu running on a virtual machine for the linux version of Splat. I don't see why it wouldn't work on other linux versions, but I only tried it on Ubuntu.

Hi! Thank you very much for your video. I'm from Argentina and I am triyng to create .kml file but the program is only creating "ppm" file which is a kind of text file. I have loaded all parameters of the transmitter and receiver but anything works!. Please if you could tell me how do you create qth file and .kml file after pushing the "splat" button, I would apprecciate that! It's just appear a console without any print. Thank you!

Hi Agustina! If you see a console with no print, then probably Splat! can't find the DEM files. The DEM files are the digital elevation data for the area between the Tx & Rx. I wrote a blog post about how to configure Splat! with the DEM files at: jeremyclark.ca/wp/telecom/splat-rf-signal-propagation-loss-and-terrain-analysis-tool/ Which version of Splat! are you using Win/Linux? Sorry to hear about Maradona, incredible player Best Regards

Also don't forget to create a "tx_name.lrp" file with the same name as the TX. Open a sample, adjust it for your situation and save it with the changed name. Don't include it in the TX window, the program automatically looks for it under the tx_name.lrp

Create directory C:/splat and put everything in there. Put all DEM files etc in same location. See original blogpost. jeremyclark.ca/wp/telecom/splat-rf-signal-propagation-loss-and-terrain-analysis-tool/
