What's even wierder is that they are not even physical beings... the ACTUAL inkling is that little glowy soul you see flying away when you get splatted... then it creates a body out of ink to inhabit and shape as it wants. It's also why water kills them, since in ancient Japan it was believed that purifying yourself with water kills any evil spirits that may be in you. Inklings are spirits.

They are perfectly capable of swimming- they do it in their own ink- the issue is actually that, being made of ink, they dissolve in water. In other words, Ink is literally acid to inklings. They also literally forget this fact, as implied by several of the comments in the news casts where either Pearl/Marie tries ti trick their partber into swimming (and in Pearls case, she seemingly actually did trick Marina into diving into water), and sometimes literally reminding one another that water is lethal to them.

Pupsicle You must have had a really s***** luck with weapon and map selection and if you think that. Assuming the map is at least tolerable and you aren't given the Inkbrush or Aerospray/Sploosh'O Matic, Steelhead is a joke compared to the examples I just listed as it doesn't even start attacking until a teammate is near it, while the Flyfish, Stinger, and Drizzler all start causing problems by moment they spawn. Stingers can snipe you across the map even if you are behind a wall and they have pretty damn good accuracy as well. The Drizzler causes an ink storm that can cover a lot of ground, thus limiting how much you can move around, especially if you just so happen to me in the middle of a dogfight and are low on ink (Although it's the most tolerable of the 3 Headaches). As for the Flyfish, it's missiles, while not impossible to dodge, make taking care of the other bosses and staying alive THAT much more Difficult (ESPECIALLY if it's getting Support from literally any other boss). Unless you still have your StingRay or Inkjet Specials, You have to toss a Bomb into both of it's Missile Bunkers to take it out (Easier said than done unless you have another teammate helping you out with it). Unless assisted by VERY specific bosses, Steelhead should NEVER be the cause of a crew wipe (Assuming Weapons and Maps aren't a match made in hell).

Profreshional 99 Roadmap 1. Ink the walls as much as possible for escape routes 2. If you have a good inking weapon, ink the ground non-stop 3. Chargers have it worse. Because assuming you end up with the Charger, unless your teammates are backing your ass up the entire time, it's impossible to avoid death. I'll give Splatlings (Sans the Mini Splatling) this, they can take out all but the Flyfish pretty fast with it's firing rate and can also potentially kill off any of the lesser mooks. But in the instance of both, You better hope that you don't get a Griller Wave too often.

10:06 In that mode you are supposed to find a Goldie in a number of gushers, than spray ink at it to make it drop eggs (it is splattable and drops 3 extra eggs). A way to help find the Goldie is to look at how bright the gushers glow. If a gusher has a brighter glow than the others, the Goldie is likely there. Another way to find it is to pay attention to how high the gushers go when opened. If it's low, the Goldie is far away. Higher, then it's close. I hope this helps.
