What Splatoon needs is an in-game cloud saving system. Not the back-up the console will have integrated in the OS, because people could just restore if they lose a rank or something. As Splatoon is mainly a multiplayer game, the game should have an in-game backup system. I mean, they already have most of that info in the cloud, as you can check your stats in SplatNet 2 at any time you want
