Splatoon 3: Cannons At The End

From the September 2024 Splatfest, the Grand Festival.
The unique Tricolor map available on the final 24 hours of this event seemed imbalanced toward defenders at first, until I realized the central platform with the Ultra Signal was meant to be cleared by a special such as a Booyah Bomb. Defenders could vacate and come back if they were quick, though. Both sides had hard-to-attack bases. In the end, this was one of the more balanced Tricolor maps.
0:00-0:08 - We got to Ruler, and Swest asked to play some further matches. I agreed. It worked out, as this match was a better upload candidate than the ones I had recorded from before we reached Ruler.
0:15-0:17 - Notice those cannons in the distance? They will matter later.
0:18-0:20 - An obvious spot for a starting sprinkler.
0:21-0:28 - I'm not sure if I have done better than 9 seconds to fully charge my first special, at least with this weapon.
0:29-0:38 - And since the opponents obligingly gathered in a logical spot to drop it off, no reason not to play along.
0:39-0:50 - Charging special number 2...
0:51-0:55 - ...to clear 3 opponents and grab the Ultra Signal...
0:56-1:00 - ...psyche!
1:03-1:05 - I missed a spot. I let a sprinkler take care of it.
1:06-1:17 - Charging special number 3.
1:18-1:28 - Cleared the platform and this time grabbed the Ultra Signal, summoning our Sprinkler of Doom.
1:38-1:45 - The defenders could come right back after a platform clear, if they were quick enough, to stop an attacker.
2:00-2:04 - Attacking without clearing the platform was often a bad idea.
2:18-2:20 - Indirect fire was the only way to get ink into the opposing base, attacker or defender. This should have been the case for all Tricolor maps, but at least it was the case for this one.
2:32-2:45 - Sometimes, a match came down to out-persisting the opponents.
2:46-2:59 - And sometimes, to lasting just long enough.
3:00-3:02 - Notice those cannons lighting up? If the same team got both Ultra Signals on this map, there was no second Sprinkler of Doom. Instead, the cannons would begin firing fizzbangs. When the central platform was raised, they hit it; when lowered, the fizzbangs hit the floor just beyond the platform.
3:14-3:19 - Most of my Tricolor wins this time ended this way: me on the platform, acting like a slightly mobile sprinkler, dispensing ink every which way while most to all others fought below. Splatfests are turf wars, won by inking the ground, not by just outsplatting the opponents.
