I agree! Kinda like with Big Run, everything is fine with music playing in the background, then the music is no longer playing, you can only hear your footsteps and other small noises, and the orange red sky adds to the feeling that something’s wrong. I love it!

The side order teaser gives me full body chills every single time I watch it- without fail. Art direction and music composition seem out of this world. As for the content of the dlc, I feel like introducing a new octoling is a weird call, and considering the hairstyle this is probably still Agent 8- just rediscovering her memories through some unforeseen means and on the way we learn more about Marinas backstory and her history with Pearl + ofc learning about the octoling cloning process/sanitation and their militaristic society as a whole. I really hope that as the reward for completing the dlc we can travel to Inkopolis Square, therefore giving us access to all 3 lobbies. That all being said, I am so unbelievably excited for what's to come

OH MY gOD I didn’t even think of that!!!! 2 was my first Splatoon game. And the same love and nostalgia the first game’s players have for the Squid Sisters and the Plaza is what I have for Off The Hook and the Square. If Side Order postgame allows us all to listen to Color Pulse during Splatfests AND see Pearl and Marina I think I would be over the moon with joy!!!!!

Fun fact I noticed: Deca Tower, which previously had signs placed haphazardly and chaotically around the body of the building, now has every sign facing forward and straight upright, in an orderly fashion. Also the two deity statues don't have their collar/necklaces anymore, the side screen is cracked or wrinkled, the power lines are now straight and symmetrical instead of stretching across the square, and most of the shop doors, including the Deca Tower entrance, have more orderly, regulated doors with less personality.

@@aSOLANGELOguy In the second game, completing the DLC’s story allowed you to play an Octoling, which unlocked some extra musics while playing pvp matches. So I am pretty positive on the odds for a similar concept to happen depending on which hall you entered.

I’m so hyped to finally see Inkopolis and the Sisters again, and experience part of the franchise I never got to- the original Splatfests with the girls On the other hand, however, I’m absolutely terrified of what happened to OtH and Eight… right now I can only pray for their safety and hope Eight’s gonna be alright. The world looks depressing… maybe we’re in Eight’s mind? Possibly after something traumatic happened? Like… dare I say, something happened Pearl and Marina 😟

I did start to tear up seeing Inkopolis again, at first, with being so overjoyed, I didn't think it over clearly but I came back to have a second look. If it's just to experience Inkopolis, seeing what's changed while getting a nostalgia trip, that's cool, I'm up for that, especially given that the internet for the Wii U won't be around forever & I still go back to the first game from time to time, will be sad to lose it. Hoping this means we get to play Squid Jump again too. Although I'm hoping this offers maybe some old maps that won't be returning to the main game to play for fun with some of the old weapons as well. I get why things changed the way they did so like not allow it to be viable for competitive but dang, I know I'm crazy but Seekers were my favorite sub weapon, I just want to play with my Seekers again but during a time when it will no longer be possible, I'm happy I still have the ability to go back to 1 if I want to. That hope is such a long shot, I don't see it happening which stinks but hey, at least Inkopolis won't be lost whenever Wii U will lose its internet compatibility which will happen one day. I'll never forget what I went through just to play Splatoon, having to get up so early in the morning on Black Friday to be close to the front of the line at Fred Meyer to buy the Wii U that came with Splatoon already installed since I didn't have one yet & I really wanted to play Splatoon & I got it, then had to wait a week to be able to play since my aunt was staying over & residing in the room with the TV that I setup my Wii U with, I had just moved back in with my parents at that point so a lot of my stuff was packed up in various boxes & things in general were a mess but when I got on, it was so much fun! I think about my first time playing every time I go back to the first game & now, I'll always be able to somewhat re-experience that feeling. I know it may seem underwhelming for some, but for others, this brings them back. It was a low point in my life, I used all the extra money I had on that Wii U & it brought me so much joy during somewhat of a dreadful time, that was a bit of an awful Christmas season given what happened to family that I won't get into but Splatoon was a positive part of it.

Even though I never played the first game during its time I bought a Wii U and played splatoon 1 while waiting for splatoon 3 to release, still playing splat 1 and 3 at the same time i have this feeling of happiness that I get too see the original plaza in splat 3

Things I noticed from the Side Order part: (Yes, I looked at each individual frame) -Features an octoling girl a lot. It may be Agent 8 since she uses the old hairstyle. -THAT CITY IS INKOPOLIS SQUARE. What could've happened to it and the idols? Maybe everyone abandoned it for the Splatlands? -There is a frame of the octogirl in fighting stance with what looks like new weapons. -Shows Pearl waking you up? You can see Inkopolis behind her. -They never show Marina in her new outfit, just Pearl. The only frame she appears in she is wearing her normal outfit, but has blue hair now. -They show a 2nd person with the octogirl a lot, but only their shoes/legs. Their shadow has sharp inkling ears. -Picture of a fossil or some ancient animal's skeleton with red glowing eyes. -The new area the octogirl explores has a lot of corals. Not normal ones, but DEAD ones (cuz they're white). Inkopolis Square is covered with them too. What else did you guys notice?

in a shot with what seems to be an elevator, there is ink seen flowing out from below it, implying something happened in there 2:40 there seems to be black goop in several parts of the side order trailer, but also some red stuff that almost looks like blood 2:42 and right when the weird black ambiguous thing pops up at 2:43 the music changes, immediately next shot is the octoling on the floor, do you think we can decipher the background in that shot? shortly after that shot, we see TWO octolings, with some ink colour/skin tone difference but otherwise exactly the same, is there some.. cloning going on?

What Nintendo should’ve done in my personal opinion was, exclusively for the expansion bring inkopolis back and all the Splatoon 1 maps including the ones that are in Splatoon 3 and give them their original layouts instead of being altered. And repeat this process for splatoon 2 maps in the next wave that would include Inkopolis square.
