its a neutral flavor, a bit salty depending on whether its concentrated or not. If cooked the flavor changes or sometimes you wont even feel it at all

Y'know, I'd actually try it. I've gotten really into Japanese cuisine. Visiting little out of the way restaraunts and the like in the U.S for example that serve actual Japanese cuisine, as it's been run by their family for three to for generations, keeping the recipes all proper and from being changed by corporations or some fluff coming in and wanting to add their spin. I adore places like that and honestly... best places you can eat. While recovering from cancer I always hit these places up for large orders of salmon sushi, or just basic crab. Prolly my favorite part, honestly is the sushi.
