Another idea could be to lag the inputs for turning. In this "walk to steer" you can see how it takes some time to position the character on the input sensor and the bearings to rotate until it actually takes effect. I would like to see how cool (or horrible) it would be to have the lag purposely set up to something like 2 seconds (or more). You need to think ahead of time when to turn, expecially close to the sides or holes, or when another player is trying to cut you off. LAGSPLEEF. I think it could be done with buttons connected to a controller that slowly rotates a bearing and bar. after turning 90° or 180° it gets picked up by a sensor that actually rotates the wheels in the desired direction.

@@henke37 The last time I played scrap mechanic it was a few weeks after it's first release. So I was thinking the old school style before logic gates were implemented 😅. But based on the wiki Timers do exactly what I was hinting. Good catch.

OMG! Next spliff idea... Make a hunger game style spleef where there is a Cornucopia in the middle with regular vehicles and 1 or 2 vehicles that are better also A range of weapons From good to bad. I would think 4 player would be better but 3 would be fine. Everybody races to the middle to get the best gear and then that center area Rises up and is replaced with a cardboard floor And And the spleef begins

lol this was a hilarious round! a fun concept could be either omnidirectional spleef vehicle that can change direction really quickly by rotating the tires/gun under a platform, or gridlock spleef where the vehicle can only go straight forward, back, left or right!

I think maybe turntable spleef might be good? Scrap mechanic doesn't really freak out over large objects that are just rotating though you might have to do the bearing stacking like kAN was talking about in the flipping sumo platform video. Having a turntable arm that worked it's way in slowly and cut the platform might work ok too? Who knows. It might look like hot garbage over multiplayer but w/e.
