Hey Nick!,Emma here once more. I did remembered a few more Musical Genre's that you might kill when you explain them throughout Drum Patterns man. Here's a list of some: Rock & Roll (The Beatles & The Rolling Stones style) Prog Rock (Kind of like Pink Floyd,or more advance like Yes) Stoner Rock (Kyuss & Fu Manchu) Doom Metal (Imagine Black Sabbath & Pentagram) Grindcore (Very popular these days, specially through Bedroom Producers hooked with their DAW's) Acid House Witch House (Imagine the band Crosses) Indie Rock with EDM Elements (Kind of like Head Automatica and The Neighbourhood) Nu-Metal (Which is making a comeback) Ska (Many would kill to learn this Genre,"Trust me!") Dub (Not Dubstep,more the Reggae inspired one) Dream Pop If you ever decide to do this. Many communities will adore you man. Not many out there explain those Genre's,and we need the Knowledge to create our own stuff a.s.a.p. bro. Hope you take this comment under consideration. And once again Teacher,thanks a million for your support and dedication,we really appreciate this. Peace and respect from Puerto Rico. Take care,have a blast,and stay in touch,ok 😁😎.

Get yourself a college music 101 book and teach yourself basic theory. I don’t have any recommendations, I just have the one I used from school. Trust me, learning some basic theory is really helpful when you want to dissect a song. It’s the language of music.
@prcption8636
@prcption8636 3 жыл бұрын
@@drone2936 Even drum patterns and arrangement are included?
@drone2936
@drone2936 3 жыл бұрын
@@prcption8636 No, you learn about rhythm and timing. How bars, beats and measures are divided, how to count the divisions of notes, time signatures, swing and feel. Once you know this, you can count time for any song you hear and then from there you put the drums sounds on the context of the timing. Music theory isn’t meant to hold your hand through the music creating process. What it does is inform you of the tools you are already using, and how they function together. It’s like learning colors, your daw is your canvas.
