+sasawedx I finished all of Splinter Cell game. For me, Blacklist doesn't have all the intrigues that Double Agent has. Also, all the complicated things that Sam have to face... It's like the story driving me to care about what happen with Sam, that's why it's still my best Splinter Cell game.

Hated conviction. DA is my favorite but I still really like blacklist, despite it's whole "Nolan North" approach to Sam Fisher. Michael Ironside FTW

What I am trying to say is that stealth in this game is optional. In a stealth game if you are found you usually end up dead which is not the case in this game.

From what I saw at the gameplay trailer he actually stormed at 6 guys and killed them easily. Also a true stealth game should allow you to complete the mission without any encounter which is not always the case in Blacklist.

It honestly depends on what you do in Conviction, I played it pretty stealthy, but it did make it hard to do so at many parts. I personally like the fast paced part of Conviction just because they made it easy to take out enemies as long as you remain hidden. I personally like games like MGS4 where by passing enemies and taking them out wihtout alerting others is a better premise than killing everyone, which is more realistic but still not fun to do the whole time. Blacklist looks amazing.

It isn't more action based. It may give you the ABILITY to go about it like Call of Duty, but all of the stealth aspects are there. It's not FORCING you to be action-packed.

AI is perfect. You do realize the game appears to bright. It you were to set brightness as dark as in real life, the area would be near pitch dark

It's a brilliant game, I've had loads of great co-op moments with my freind and the story's short but sweet! Very different indeed but look at blacklist! Its the perfect combination of chaos theory and conviction! Can't Wait!!! (:

On X360 they sure are. On PC, even with all the tweaks needed to make the game looks best (High Quality objects must be activated from .ini), shadows are crap on PC, the lightning cuts off incredibly fast, if not tweaked as well ... Plus the character models have fewer polygons than the X360 counterpart. But overall, yeah, the game looks much better than Chaos Theory. Except the shadows ...

Now the only reason im asking here is because ive had no luck on forums, if any of you experienced sound issues with the game how do you fix it? It plays, but I only hear the menu and loading screens as well as music. No voice, no guns, nothing else. Not even in game actions! I played this game first on gamecube and it was nothing like this version and now that I have this version I want to play it. So can anyone help? This is apparently a common issue but obviously Engelbrutus here is playing it just fine

I like the AI in the game. The last foe he has to deal with doesn't see him when he is 10 meters in front of him. I guess the little guy didn't want to use a flash light (it was dark to see any crap) because using a flash light is just too main stream.

I said that the only way to consider this game stealth is if you also consider AC to be stealth. Because just like this game AC has no stealth at all. True stealth series are Hitman Thief and the splinter cell games BEFORE Blacklist

Splinter Cell pissed me off when they took away hiding the bodies after a knockout/kill part of the purpose of that was you could hide bodies to buy you time to set up your next kill and it's gone in Conviction :(

It was good but it was easy, even on the hardest difficulty. There were dark parts everywhere. Double Agent is a lot more difficult.

Get both. The original Xbox and X360 games are both terrific games. Wildly different from one another, they also complement each other story wise.

Are the previous games buggy too on the pc ? Should I try dolphin instead ? With Dolphin (gamecube emu) some games are emulated almost perfectly.

Iras Vanosal Hmmm as far as I tested, Splinter Cell Chaos Theory seems to be running just fine on Steam. First Splinter Cell also seems to run smooth. I believe Double Agent is the only black sheep of the family. edit: yes, Game Cube emulator is incredibly stable and effective, I wish PCSX 2 was that good ! But I know PS2 is a very complex machine compared to the Game Cube which had some PC-based components iirc.

I liked DA until they decided I have 10 minutes to do shit I have no ethusiasm over. I wish you weren't timed and I could do it at my pace. I'm very patient in stealth games and to time me rushes me and makes me fuck up. I still haven't beaten DA due to that bullshit, I got fed up at doing it and dropped it for another game....I got really far in it too.
