I love the idea of having a single back and two TE with one TE off the line of scrimmage acting as sort of a gadget player that can do all kinds of pre snap motions into the backfield or across the formation into a spread or tandem look.

Coach, for a while, I didn't quite get what you were getting at with the Counter Bash issue (your OT Counter video, your QB Counter Run Game video from 2014/2015, etc), but I think it may have clicked for me when I was watching the OT Counter video, let me know if I am on the right track here or not. What I understand you to be saying is that on playside reads, whether it's traditional under center veer, or shotgun power read, the read player is wrong no matter which decision they make, and by extension, if everything goes right, and the talent is even, the defense is screwed either way, and you are getting at least a few yards. However, on a play like Counter Bash Read, the defense is not necessarily screwed either way. If the DE sits or flies upfield, the QB pulls and runs and THEN you have to have good blocking for them to get any decent amount of yards. Is that accurate? If it is accurate, do you also see the same issue with standard shotgun zone read, shotgun zone bash read, etc, or is this specific to Counter Bash read in your eyes? What kind of block reaction do you normally get from the DEs on your schedule when they get the tackle near them pulling away? Thanks!

Yes when running counter bash you are not effecting the end that needs to be kicked out. We generally see teams that squeeze
