So cool to see you react to these guys! They’re a spectacular live band and have a pretty great back catalogue. Jeff’s bass is from a gas tank and weed whacker string. He calls it, “The Stitch Giver”. I love how open minded you are to are and willing to give an artist a chance. You’re a truly good human, sir.

I absolutely love the way you open your heart and soul to new sound. Life is so much MORE when you’re willing to step outside of your “comfort zone’ and help your life’s soundtrack to be so much more dynamic. I’ve grown up with Split lip and I can’t tell you how many people and bands they’ve turned me onto. It’s the music that puts a shovel in our hand and causes us to dig deeper into sound and the pure bliss of something new and fresh.

I love Split Lip Rayfield so dang much. Been seeing them since around 2000, mainly at the annual Walnut Valley Festival in Winfield Kansas. It's bluegrass for sure, but it's high octane bluegrass. And it's addicting as hell, but in a good way. RIP Kirk Rundstrom

Split Lip Rayfield live at the Cotillion is where you really get to understand these guys. I grew up with them in Wichita, one of the most underrated bands that ever was. John barleycorn's live set were the best. And Jeff made that gas tank bass himself. It's called "the Stitch Giver"
@alwaysbeclosing60708 ай бұрын
I've seen hundreds of live shows and often tend towards heavier music, but Split Lip Rayfield is the greatest live band I ever saw and became my favorite band of all time. I saw them 13 times including the famous Cotillion show when Kirk was giving it his all near the end. That was surreal. Everyone there knew the score, and that we were witnessing a special moment we would carry with us the rest of our lives. My friend described seeing Split Lip Rayfield live as a musical hurricane washing over you, and I think that's the most apt description anyone could give. Damn I miss em. Hope Wayne is pulling through with his health challenges.

@@i_kill_for_zardoz Both the guitarist and mandolinist here are total metal shredders. Eric (guitar) had a band called Satan’s Jeweled Crown and they used to open their shows with a face-melting blast through Sabbath’s “Heaven and Hell.” And Wayne cut his teeth on Randy Rhoads, Ritchie Blackmore, et al., and can still outgun anybody I know.

Please react to W.A.S.P. - Golgotha. The official lyric video is so powerful, they are a band that is so underrated and one you have not done yet. Sorry I can't afford to donate to you at the moment as I am on a disability pension and my husband of 23 years has left me and he was my full time carer and I am now going to lose my home. This song is a must watch. They have been around for 40 years and Blackie Lawless does not get the credit he deserves. I really think you will like this song. It has a great message and the symbolism in the video is very powerful. Cheers from Australia.
