Yes, there are definitely influences or features that you might find in those games. The first Splitgate game was more a Halo-Portal combo.

It is indeed inspired by Halo, to a certain degree. The devs did say early on when it comes to developing the first game (Splitgate 1), that they were fans of the old halo games :)
