I reckon there speaking English is seen as "educated" whereas speaking in your own language is not. I know. Sounds pathetic. Like why is it shameful to speak in your own mother tongue?🤔...I got to learn this from my indian friend that some of em are actually ashamed to wear their own ethnic clothes or speak in their own language.
