@toddsoutsideagain Жыл бұрын
Hello Phil. This particular smoker is a propane heated fire box that uses fans to circulate the smoke into the meat. He said it calls for green so it burns slower and don’t clog the burners with ash🤷♂️ You might revisit that customer and ask. It’s worth a try. Thanks for watching 👊🏻

Good stuff.. If you had a little mill you could slab out some short logs rotate 90 degrees cut again and cut them to size in a buck rack. Then toss the few with bark in one pile and the rest in the premium pile. Check out northwest sawer he has a video on cutting fire wood like that.

Red Oak for fire pit cooking beef is fantastic! I hear you about the temps. It was 95 yesterday but I spent all day cutting. Wasn't bad as I was in the woods; unloading in the sun smoke me... Good to hear business to good.

@@toddsoutsideagain I have one customer that just wants oak that has been split for one year. The rest he takes care of as kind of a hobby. Yeah, red oak takes forever. White oak I find dries much quicker. I’m going to try some white oak for fire pit cooking. ‘Course, as dry as it is right now, I’m not burning anything! Lol
