BMW F10 550i N63tu Tmap 3.5 sensor upgrade. This video shows the installation of upgraded Tmap 3.5 sensors which allows the factory turbos to boost over 20psi with your favorite tune. This BMW 550i is using the JB4+BCM connections and custom intake.

I’m curious about some of the settings you have on map6. From your later videos I realize you’re running map2 on the car with some duty bias adjustments. Does setting boost to 0 on map6 have anything to do with that? From what I understand, map2 has its own preset settings separate from map6. Just curiosity. I also own a 550i. Props on making videos btw. Definitely subscribed

Great video! Thank you. I have a question; there are (4) sensors on this motor. (2) on the intercoolers and (2) on the intake manifolds. did you not have to change the (2) sensors on the intake manifolds? I also have a tune from Mission, but have upgraded the turbo's to Pure Stage 1's so I'm thinking I need to upgrade all (4) sensors.

@@splittlive thank you for the reply. It's Mission Performance and they're telling me whenever they upgrade turbo's they replace all (4) sensors. They upgraded my tune to Stage 2 for the 3.5 MAP's and so far I got the ones on the intercoolers replaced, but can't get to the ones on the side of the manifolds. They are a PITA. tempted to just load the tune and see if it works ok as is, based on what you're telling me. ??

@@JimiJoey Yes I did all MAP sensors Tuner (Mission Performance) told me that if I didn't do all 4, the ECU will still only max out at 21psi boost. I used a long extension and a swivel headed torx for the ones on the side (intake manifold) and worked from the top of the motor down the side. Took me about 5 hrs to do this job but I got them done!

It depends on how much boost your gonna run, not what tune you get.

I installed jb4 stage 1, just installed downpipes. I get bad exhaust smell. Should I upgrade to jb4-Bcm? How much boost should I be running with stage 1 and how much will I run with stage 2?

Kevin Kalil exhaust smell is from the deletion of the cats. However make sure your crush clamps are tight enough where the downpipes meet the exhaust. Your ECU should adjust for fuel.

SPLITT MODS thanks for your reply. I replaced the stage 1 bms with a ecu tune stage 2. It regulated my fuel ratio and now the smell is almost gone and runs fine! I checked and running 17.8psi boost. Is that a good boost level? Can the car handle more?

Yes, 16' n63tu on 2.5 bar, catless, muffler delete, frt. grill intake & JB4 stage 2. Hit 22 psi and went to safe map 4. After 20 psi need 3.5 bar
