I really liked the original, but the song fits Jensen’s voice SO well that my brain always hears Jensen’s version. IMHO, the all-time best cover of an original was Johnny Cash’s “Hurt”, but I would wager money that a random audience would choose Jensen’s S.O.B. over the original over half the time. I think Jensen’s voice has more depth and richness to it for that song. Makes me think that with the right song Jensen could fully achieve big time commercial hit-status.
