J2 have finally decided to pull the plug, and I completely agree with them, like J2 have said (I'm paraphrasing) "It's like putting an old beloved dog, you don't want to, but you know it's time and you don't want to prolong its suffering". and I'm sure that the Destiel shippers with their sense of entitlement and how they're basically trying to force Destiel on the show writers and Jensen himself (who really hates it btw), didn't help either. Plus there's all the Sam/Jared hate that come out of that part of the fandom, because they hate how close Sam and Dean are and they feel that Cas should take Sam's place except on a "romantic" level, and the Jared hate stems from the fact that a large portion of them are also Cockles shippers, and they hate to see how close J2 are, while Jensen and Misha are only work friends at best. I feel like Jensen has the most reasons to be done with this show, he disagrees with the direction the show has taken, he hates OOC Sam and Dean, he hates the Jared/Sam hate, and he hates Destiel (or as Jensen called it- Dethstiel) and the fact that some fans keep calling him homophobic for saying that Destiel doesn't exist and refusing to even let it happen, and worse, some of them are styling stuff like "Destiel will become canon and whether he wants it or not, Jensen is going to come on set, bend over and spread those ass cheeks for Cas" *shudders* Of course Jared feels the same and he told us that many, many times, but Jensen seems to be far more annoyed with all of this crap than Jared, which btw reflects on his acting. In fact both J's seem to have their enthusiasm diminished over the last few seasons, and their acting seem to be deteriorating, like they no longer care half of the the time and instead only going through the motions but their heart is no longer in it.

​@Supernaturally American I agree with everything you've said about Dabb, but I'm not so certain about them receiving a cancellation letter, and I do believe they ended it on their own. First of all the show is still very profitable, it was no.2 on CW rating list last year, and it has been running so long and has such a strong fan base that it's still one of the (if not the most) solid shows they have that they can count on bringing them views for at least a few years from now. Then there's the fact that J2 themselves have talked in the past about wanting to end it on their own terms before the show really starts to decline, they've shown their displeasure with the direction the show is taken, and the OOC way the brothers are being which started to happen more and more frequently, In fact they've said that they have so many people and their jobs depending on them, that they see it as a serious incentive to stay on the show, does that sound like someone who's enthusiastic about staying on the show? Then suddenly season 13 rolls around and they seemingly get what they want, the brothers relationship becomes closer again, Dean' and Cas' relationship gets less focus, they become more distant and there's zero fan service for the hellers, and Dabb starts speaking more and more about the brothers and their relationship being the center and focus of the show, how J2 and their on-screen chemistry re solely responsible for the show going as long as it has, and promising that he won't try to go for anymore spin offs since it's obvious that the show only works thanks to Sam and Dean, it's as if J2 have been talking about it since the beginning of the season and Dabb was trying to convince them to not go through with it, he even said it was up to them and that he would be happy to continue working with them if they decided to stay. Also, this thing with him frantically trying to come up with a spin off, putting a lot of unnecessary focus on Cas and Jack and making them appear almost like a surrogate father and son (which suddenly ceased being a thing in season 14, at which point it all stops brothers took Cas' place as being Jack's surrogate parents, probably because Dabb realized he went too far with going against J2 wishes) which was him preparing the ground for a spin off featuring them both, like he knew that J2 were probably talking about leaving the show for a few years before they started to consider it seriously somewhere before the beginning of the filming of season 14, and suddenly he decides against the idea of a spin off, and the direction of the show starts changing for the better and when Dabb starts talking about season 15, he basically starts saying that he wishes to go back to the basics with the brothers being on the road and all, and how important they are to the sow and all that jazz. It's as if he suddenly realized that he was betting on the wrong horse and now he's losing everything. So based on all that evidence, I believe that J2 have been talking about leaving the show for quite some time because they were displeased with the direction it was going, Dabb - instead of giving J2 what they want - decided to double down on his bullshit thinking that he could launch a spin off of his own, meaning he will have his own show, make more money and won't be depended on J2. I believe it was his intention all along and that was what made the show go down hill in the first place, but then when he started to try to push that idea even harder, the show declined further and that brought J2 to a breaking point and they started to seriously consider leaving the show. that's when Dabb finally realized they were serious and scrambled to try to accommodate them and their wishes, but it was already too late, though it seems like he still believes that J2 could change their minds, that's why he's giving them season 15 that he's promising is going to be "classic brothers" and saying stuff like it's their decision to stay on the show (or at least he did before they started filming, I haven't been following lately and I have no idea whether he's still saying stuff like that or if he changed his mind again). Also, I believe he was duped into believing that Misha is way popular than he actually is, by the Misha stans with their multiply accounts, general loudness and their strong appearance and obsessive behavior on SM where they continuously talk about him, retweet his tweets and anything that is related to him again and again racking up a dozen or more retweets for a single tweet by a single person using sock accounts, voting hundreds of times on polls, actually using bots to do some of those things, even writing articles about him and that's only a short list of the stuff the do online, and that caused him to give in to their demands to many times when one time was too much, which only emboldened them and made them more entitled and demanding towards him, the show and Jensen (which made him even more exasperated), and eventually was one of the factors that affected the show for the worse. I know I'm repeating myself a lot, but that's 'cause English is not my first language (not even the second lol), so I sometimes have trouble with making sure that I'm explaining myself properly and causes me to repeat stuff too much and turn something that could've been written with one or two short paragraphs into a long monolog. So, sorry about that.
