That's funny at the end. In my head Chuck created the dog Miracle just to mess with the boys and so when everything is brought back he ends up staying with the boys. It might have helped fill the space that Jack left too, almost a piece of him, innocent and loving.

Jeez that was a long one. So I'm not a native speaker so I might have gotten a few words wrong here and there, especially since it's 2.40 AM here, but I hope this helps. Fan: So I appreciate and am grateful for how openly affectionate you all are with the cast and crew. I am a widow with one son and have no close healthy male role-models for him. So I looked for chances to show him men being affectionate as you all are. Which I hope is okay. Uhm. So were you brought up this way or is it being around the people, as an adult, who allowed you to be comfortable showing your affection? And how are you ensuring your children are brought up this way? Jared: Uhm great question. Uh- I’m sorry for your loss uh how old is your son? Fan: He’s now 18. [Jared: Wow] We lost his dad when he was 3 Jared: I’m sorry Fan: Thank you. And it’s- it’s tough. Jared: Sure. Sure. Uh… I guess regarding(?) your question; I was not brought up with, like, the sort of affection between friends. And I grew up in Texas and played sports and we fought and wrestled and we, you know, rode around on our bikes and threw rocks at trains and you know like slingshots trying to get squirrels… Which now I know my Christmas present to Jensen. Uh… Fan; I’m not sure I wanna unpack that Jared: No- I have been trying not to think about that. Uhm- but my uh I had a pretty classic upbringing. My mother was and still is very very affectionate and I love you and this and that. And my dad- my dad you know grew up with two older brothers, and both of his parents served in the Airforce in WW2, his dad was a [not sure]. He’s a tough guy y’know. Uhm and he showed affection in a different way, the whole like y’know [puts a hand on Jensen’s shoulder to demonstrate]. These days it’s like “I love you. I love you” and I realize know in hindsight, like that was his way of trying to make sure I didn’t have to go through everything that he went through. Mom as well uh in her own very loving way. Uh but I don’t know when it really happened that I kinda- Jensen: I feel like- I feel like uhm- when we- when we were growing up, kinda the older generation of - of parenting, was a little more of the tough love. Uhm- Jared: Yeah. That’s what they learned from their parents, getting out of the war- Jensen: My father wasn’t- he wasn’t a gruff- you know, a hard uhm over disciplinarian kind of a dad. He was- he was very loving and uhm, not necessarily in a physical way, but he certainly let me- Every time he would punish me, which was with a belt, ah he would- he would- before he would spank me, he would say “I’m doing this because I love you and I want you to learn not to do this”. Uhm- I don’t spank my children. Uh- I have that- that conversation with them, uh and then I try- and if that doesn’t work then I try to think of something- maybe I take a toy away, maybe I- something. Uhm but I- I have chosen not to continue that tradition. Uhm- but not to say that I- I very much respect how my father handled me as a- as a boy and a y’know growing man. Uh I do feel like it is more acceptable in today’s culture to be an affectionate father, and an affectionate man. Uhm I feel like some of that toxic masculinity has started to fade away, a little bit, and so I would just simply suggest to y’know, to- to teach your son that it is okay to- to love, and it is okay to show affection as a- as a man. And you know I- I- look, I played a character for 15 years who ah- in my opinion, was able to show affection. And was able to- to hug and cry with his brother and with people he loved. And that I think is not something that the old guard[?] necessarily would allow to happen. Not because they- they couldn’t or wouldn’t, but just it wasn’t quite as acceptable as it is today. And so I would just encourage you to- to tell your son that uh- that’s y’know it’s okay to be emotional, it’s okay- when you cry, when you get hurt, when you love, when you show affection. Those are the- those are the ones in my opinion that are going to be uh more well rounded and live a uh happier life. [clapping] Jared: [He was kinda drowned out duo to clapping, but he just kinda struggled how to begin his sentence] I was thinking- while he[Jensen] was explai- [not sure]. It’s really about being available. Like I think- think about the generation that his[Jensens] parents grew up in. Uhm you were taught to put up all these facades, all these walls, so that someone couldn’t get in and hurt you, y’know. And, literally, the 40s [not sure… I think it was: we were scared them getting in and hurting us] again as we continued the war. But being- being available but to a point. Y’know like, be a- listen. Like listen to-, I’m not saying you, I’m saying like if I could somebody what I try to do- I try to listen. And if they- if they- if I get the sense that they’re out to hurt me, uhm- then I put my wall down. Uh and I think I’m trying to do that with my characters and with my kids as well. Like we’re always there to listen to them. And that’s part of- and we y’know and “I love you”, scratch your back and this and that. But if they’re having a bad day and you know it, then it’s like “Hey, I’m available”. And sometimes my sons- So my sons got in a fight the other day- not a fight, they were wrestling, it was like 8.30 and like you gotta get to bed, it was a school night. And then they went to Toms room and they kept wrestling and I guess Tom knocked his head on something and started crying. And so I- I go upstairs and it’s very obvious they continued to wrestle. You know it- We were doing the dishes or something and going up to tuck them in. And so uh I- I like “Shep get to your room” and Gen was up by that time and she kinda took over Tom like “What’s going on” and I went in to- uh Sheps room, we was down in his bed. I was like “Shep, what happened?” he’s like “I uh don’t know” so I go “I told you to stop wrestling. Did you keep wrestling?”. And he looked at me, and he’s only set o by 8 in a couple weeks and he’s like [nodding his head] “Yeah we were wrestling. And I kinda- it took me by surpri- I was like ‘Wow’- and we tell them like it- it- you’re gonna do things and we might have to correct you or punish you, but if you do those things and then lie about it. It’s gonna be a looot worse. Uhm and so he- he took that. And I was like ‘that’s really impressive’ uh but saying “Listen. It’s my job to correct you and make sure as best as I can- I’m steering towards a healthy, happy life. There’ll be times were, as the adult, I’m gonna have to correct you. But if you lie to me- that’s out of the window. You’re sleeping in the pool” [laughter] Fan: Thank you [After that Jensen joked that there is a show about two brothers that she should have her son watch, about two brother and I think you can think of the rest😂]

I am pretty sure Jared is 6'5, both the J's have said that. I think the show tried to shoot them so they looked closer in height. But yeah, sometimes the height difference is super obvious.
@thewalkingcat55422 жыл бұрын
My thought on the height difference was: Jensen isn't wearing the boots with heels any more like he did on the show. Misha once told the story, that Jensen isn't much taller then he, but when he is dressed as Dean he is significantly taller 🤣 I guess that made it easier for the cameras...
