Andrew Meeker slow motion video helps with that a lot. When your trying to go that fast it’s not just about having the most HP. Tuning the suspension is prolly more important than the tune in the computer at that point. Cause if the suspension ain’t right no amount of power will be able to purely “muscle” through it. once you start to understand how everything needs to be setup to work together perfectly you start to see the numbers your chasing. It’s jus finding that balance that’s the hard part.

@@mike86mike you really don't understand drag racing either huh? It's called testing. Getting the first few hundred feet down. This car should 60ft in the low teens or better. Once you get the front half worked out. Then you bring in the big boost up top. Without having the first 0 to 200ft it's pointless to add a bunch of boost up top that's not going to do much for ET. Not to mention they'll being making another gear change if they run 1/4 if they shift at 7200. The new 3.60 gear is going to be a problem once all the boost does come in if they can't run much pass 7500rpm. I went through the traps at 8000rpm at 182mph on a 28in tire with 3.55 gears.

Man, modern computer-controlled cars are soooo much easier to tune than when I was racing back in the 1980s. It's so much easier to make big power today. I love my computer-controlled turbo cars.

If Ruby's doing 8.1 in the heat of the day, she's practically guaranteed 7's at night.

"I felt I needed more power"...I can't really fathom the shock Cleetus could have endured when a such novel and extravagant feeling emerged. The realization that the answer at his lifelong desires was so near, but only his genius could crack the code and open for mankind the chest of the "Elegant Engineering" This historic phrase, that deserves to be added to his legacy as a motto, lies in the path of other timeless says as "No replacement for displacement"

8.1 in the heat of the day is impressive. The track temp had to be pretty high. Need to go back out in the am next time before the track gets so hot and greasy. Bet the 11.5 psi setting on the two step sends it on a cool track!
