@Skinflaps_Meatslapper3 жыл бұрын
Not sure why you'd say that, it feels like 40mph to me. I've gone well past 100 on sand, only thing it feels like is 100 without any lateral traction. I've topped out an LTR in the whoops by the highway, it takes some effort to skip every other whoop with the front but other than that it doesn't multiply how fast it feels.

@Yurmums Vajeje You could say I live in the dunes. My house was built about 400yds from the dunes, my ranch is 7 sections of land, 3 of which are covered with active dunes. I've made several desert races and won my class most of those times, I don't know if that makes me a pro since I'm only doing it for fun. It does help to test new stuff with sand freely available, rather than load everything up and drive for hours or days for a shakedown ride. It doesn't feel any more or less fast, it just feels like you have less traction. Drive accordingly. To me it just feels like a wet road that hasn't been paved in a while and I've got worn out tires, but that's just going in a straight line. Beyond that the similarities diverge, as sand will aid in traction once you dig in while turning...a wet road will just lose more traction the more you slide.
