I removed the last Omaze ad because of the issues with the car and charity. This one is not the same. This ad supports an automotive charity and it’s a sick car with no strings attached. Omaze pays a good chunk of money to do these and they help the channel do what we do. I think they’re worth it for the 1 minute plug. If you guys seriously have a problem with them, leave your thoughts below and I’ll give them a read and go from there. Always willing to work with y’all and you know that.

Hey guys just seen the latest video , nice going I’m a aluminium boatbuilder from Perth Western Australia I never miss any of the live action if you guys need any advice let me know , little tip turn the wire speed up in the machine and try and go a little faster , you will put less heat into the materials and the finish product won’t have as many ripples in the plate and watch for the hull being twisted , before you fully weld the hull up level the hull up by lining the top of the transom up with the top of the foredeck (or dash) I use jack stands on there sides to stick underneath the bottom plates as chocks once iits level tack some braces in all four corners or otherwise when you get in and out of the hull and go from back to front and side to side to weld it it will end up with a twist in the hull , and if it was me ide pit the sides on from front to back and sash clamp the back plates down when you tack it up , before you weld it up tack the top plates and windscreen in and brace it all level before you weld the whole lot up, mess if you have any problems, and James don’t tig the hull up (too much heat)it will move around too much , good luck boys 👍👍👍👍johnny from western australia

Brent and Jamie are such amazing guys they would never correct you on camera and have been letting it ride for quite a while now. As a fan and (And fellow youtuber) I really emplore you to give Brent/Jamie their own shoutout as PFI speed guys. To check for leaks, soapy water sprayed on and blow with air compressor over seem welds. Ideally exterior seem weld should be done in one take. Catch on fire if need be. Stops and starts are where holes and cracks can form. And don't powder coat them. The heat could buckle or warp it. Best finish for an Ali boat is acid washed and Ali sealed. Then just get the hull above chines vinyl wrapped. No offence to yankie boat builders but America got alot to learn about Ali boat building. Majority of boats in Australia and NZ are Ali.

In the next project, you should consider building a boat using "Flex Seal" and floating it across your pond.
@3ddrew6914 жыл бұрын
Besides building your own house, car and things you love, building a boat is just another one of those amazing things that although a huge project, it is absolutely worth the effort. I can't wait to see the rest of the build. Cleeter going all in is awesome. And Cleetus, you should have known James was going to help you then learn from your boat to build his. Thats how you guys fix the cars. If james sees where you guys can make an improvement, he will always be willing to help out. Good times boys. Gotta get them in the Freedom Pond.

@@opossom1968 It's not like there isn't an argument in this case - that's downright pathetic "packaging" for product like this. The manu needs to suck it up and crate these things; bet they'll at least break even in the big picture once they cut down on the amount of replacement pieces they ship out. One sin doesn't absolve the other - both the packaging and the shipping are dog shit

I work in a warehouse and we will NOT use Roy Miller or R&L carriers, drivers are rude, they treat freight like garbage and even the equipment (tractor, trailer, pallets jacks, etc) are all trash. Just an all around bad example of a freight company. I love ODFL always on time, respectful drivers and they always have nice trailers and equipment.

I see many You Tube car builders need more PPE. Hands,arms, face protection and ventilation I am recently retired from a shipyard that builds Destroyers for the US Navy. It was mandatory for welders and other trades to wear either a full face or half face respirator when 'tacking' or welding stainless, Recommended when welding aluminum or mild steel . most of us wore the 3M model 6502 or similar half face w/ the Particulate filters like the 2091 or 2097. We were constantly reminded to use our flexible 4" vent tubes when welding. Would not be overly expensive to have a blower/sucker setup (exhausted outside of course) w/ several flexible vent tube around to use when welding.
