Nick D'Virgilio is a monster talent. Such a humble, gentle soul with profound musical gifts. What an incredible voice too.

This is just as well-crafted and perfect a song as any written in the Neal Morse era of this band. And while that first decade is still remembered most fondly amongst prog aficionados of a certain age, by the time the Nick-led band released their self-titled album, they had figured it out once again, and were cranking out amazing songs like this one on the regular. And man, that guy can sing; I love Neal, but I think Nick is a far better singer, not to mention his other roles in the band at the time (song-writer, lyricist, drummer, plus playing guitar and keyboards in live shows...that is when he wasn't leading the band from behind a drum kit)...he's an impressive man, and I really wish he got more recognition for his work in the modern prog landscape.

Nick is incredible. I love both equally, but there is something so awesome about Nick. He sounds just as good live as on the album

No question. I love Neal, and think he is a far more gifted songwriter (although Nick worked extremely hard at it in Neal's absence and, recognizing his limitations accepted composition help to shape Spock's Beard songs into their final form, from both the other band members and, more notably, John Boegehold), but Nick is the better singer. I didn't realize this until I heard _Snow_ and Nick's solo on "Carie" (mainly that one, but "Looking for Answers" is also really great). It left me a bit gobsmacked, actually. I've heard both of them sing live as well (Neal with Transatlantic, Nick with Spock's Beard back in '07), so I can compare them not just on how they sound after all sorts of studio post-processing, but how they sound on stage. Nick still wins (although, from a whole concert perspective, Spock's Beard has to settle for runner-up; Transatlantic is a special band, and in the prog world, few others can hold a candle to their magic).

Acoustic guitar solo before the last chorus is amazing. It's a shame the person who edited the video focused anyone except Alan. ¬¬
