I do love this box. I felt so bad because I wasn’t part of the community when the library box came out, and I loved everything in that. I hope some of those pieces make it into the standard product line. So I feel a little vindicated in that I get some of these beautiful Journaling supplies in color tones that I absolutely love. I love the subscription boxes. I was able to get a couple of them in the past, but I no longer can afford them - the feeling I got from receiving the box on the mail, and opening every item, oh, it was bliss. You had me at the outer box! This is my first time purchasing anything from Archer & Olive and though I didn't need more stationary...I NEEDED THIS BOX!!!! It is so me! The packaging, the themes. I just wish the cover was more in line with the aethestic of the other items in the box. If it looked like composition notebook or had the paperclip/scissor pattern all over or even it it looked like a piece of spiral notebook. But overall, I'm so excited and pleased that I made the leap into the subscription.

I'd just seen an ad for your subscription boxes on Facebook and followed the link. This unboxing video is what sold me. I had a subscription box I loved, but the lady stopped offering the box. I love journals and sketchbooks. Some of the things in this particular box I'm not interested in, but I've been wanting something like what you called a "trapper keeper", it's perfect for my needs! Too bad i already spent my spending money! Hubby says he might buy me one of these boxes with his next paycheck since he noticed how excited I was about it 😊

This should not be a Subscription box - this should be an everyday essentails box available year round! The time washi!!?? This will save me so much time on my every day work notebook - if you could do one with 4 box space in a 12 hour space it would be perfect (I have 15, 30, 45 and 60 min+ meetings I need to log daily) LOVE EVERYTHING! Cannot wait to get mine - thank you team! (would also love to see a everyday stamp set that was not just 1 space time related - if these decorative tapes were available as a stamp set! it would be game changing!)

The only thing that feels out of place with the general cohesiveness of the box is the journal cover (I can see the design a little on the pink tape but nowhere else, and the colour is nowhere else to be seen), but that doesn't mean it's not beautiful! I rarely use A5's, so the journal cover will be a good way to put 2 of the unused, without decorative spines, blank books on my bookshelf and have them look nice. 😁As I said in Jashii's sneak peak, I love those tapes for my sewing project journal. The colour scheme also ties well with several previous product releases, so I feel less limited in what I can do with it all (I really like these paler colours). 😊 I'm interested to see if the ruler on the B5 edges actually lines up with any measurements, and I'm extra happy that the stencil is the same size, as that's my go-to for yearly's now. Yeah, yeah, I only started in 2023, but after 2 A5's then, and switching to the B5 with much happiness for 2024 (it holds a full year for me, so I only need to have shelf space for 1 book) I know what I get the most out of financially. 😘

I canceled my June subscription box with no regrets. It just didn't fit my vibe, and my daughter who I was buying the sub boxes, is no longer journaling as much as she used to and asked me not to get her any more notebooks. She has so many that she has no more room for them. That being said, Archer & Olive once more outdid themselves on this theme. Fantastic extras that are useful for journaling. The notebooks were fantastic looking, and the washi and pens tie the colors back to the notebooks. I do like the stickers. Excellent sub box! :-)

after a SNAFU with Fedex, I finally got mine this morning :D I love it. The stencil just barely fits in the Archer Keeper :D I tried to fit it behind the strap in the keeper at first lol (it just barely doesn't strap in).

So glad you got it! The Stencil is B5 and the Zipper Folio is intended for the A5 journal. so I wouldn't recommend storing it in there!

a little artist review - 2 years subscriber: i wasn't really sure with this month's box - and with the currency change and shipping going up it's really a bit too expensive for what's in this box imo (150$CAD!!). but at least it's making REALLY good gifts, i'd even get more for my classes if it wasn't as expensive. my art students ask me for the brand all the time when they see me drawing in one. i don't know how it survives but i tried watercolor, gouache, oils+gesso, calligraphy, different kinds of inks, 4h to 6b pencils, crayons, colored pencils, oil and water based markers, cheap stuff, expensive stuff, it got doused, it got dirty, it got attacked by a cat and a dog and the sun, survived an eclipse, survived overeager plants and kids, and my mom doesn't think it looks like it has fleas. i recommend not using it for big washes but stay to lighter applications of paints - it buckles a bit but not that much and stays easy to scan because it opens very flatly - extremely important. markers can bleed a little but not much and only on the same page unless you really go for it. the paper isn't acidic, can't say the same about the rest of the products though! i'm currently running a gauntlet with all the inks and pens i got from them to test lightfastness and waterproofing, it's gonna cook all summer and i'm gonna be back with it. i know those are supposed to be about journalling but at that price we SHOULD have at least some basic info on that, archival quality is not negociable for some of us. the tapes don't really feel like good washi paper but i'm fully aware it might just be me. they're good either way, just not that japanese papery quality some might prefer. i love them either way, for some use i prefer other brands of washi and for other i like those, they're more opaque. suggestions: enough A5s! i would really like smaller, even really tiny ones you can put into your pockets to sketch and note everything on the go. i like small, fat notebooks, forever in love with the small ones from the library box you did. even the traveler size could be great! no need to go crazy but while A5 is a great size it takes a while to fill. i'd like paper that is not fully white so they're easier on the eyes when you write (unbleached, old parchment yellow, 20-30% gray, the light green one you did a year back) nothing fancy, you can still write normally, just not get blinded xD did you consider refills for the pens you sell or am i condemned to scour the earth looking for that buttery smooth gel pen goodness ;_____; stamps? i love me some good deco vintagey stamps. idk if it's possible but a sizeable, semi transparent vellum dot grid pad for layering text would be bomb AF. this box: kinda sad you didn't go with the splendid nautical themes you did for the shop. ah well. can't wait to put that measuring washi everywhere (amd it looks like it's in mm hell yeah). the book suitcase (lol) looks so good and i feel that's gonna be the winner of this box, maybe i can finally get back on track with that grimoire/commonplace book project i want to start so bad. can't wait to see what's up with the stencil, they're always fun to speed up processes.

A5 is by far our most popular size so these will feature the most, but we always include at least 2 notebooks in a box for the options of other sizes. We are looking into stocking refills, but until then you can use any 0.7mm gel pen refill!

I hope the B5 stencil doesn't have the same issues as the stencil from the Everyday Essentials collection. All the black ruler lines and numbers wore off of mine super quickly. It's functionally useless as a measurement tool now.

For a quick fix, go over it with a black crayon and wipe off the extra, and now you can read your ruler with ease once more. :-)

Actually, another thing y'all might do is a video on exactly how the subscription boxes work... For instance, once you sign up, do you HAVE to take each box? Or if you skip a box, will the subscription be canceled? Can you pause your subscription for a set period of time? Is there a sneak peek beforehand so that you know whether you want to get that quarter's box or not? I've been surfing your site trying to find more specific information like this, but haven't been able to track it down.

Great questions. If you hit 'see more' on the sub box listing it does have more info and we also have an FAQ, but I'll answer them for you here too. Once you sign up, you are signed up to get a box each quarter in March, June, September and December. We don't have the option to pause, but you can cancel at any time and resubscribe when they open to new subs each quarter. A reveal of the box theme and 2-4 items in the box goes up 1-2 weeks before the subscription renewal. Hope this all helps!

@@ArcherandOlive In aware of that, which is why I clung so desperately to the hope the last 2 spring and summer launches (alongside their sub box releases as a last ditch effort) since the 1st mug came in the Dec 2022 box (my 1st, because of it and the gorgeous A5). Even more so the last 2, after we got the Autumn mug as part of the fall 2023 release. I realize if no more mugs are released then I have them all, but it will never feel complete, or stop the yo-yo of emotions every spring/summer. I know I'm not alone in wanting all 4 seasons, because the autumn mug sold out in a day, and there was multiple requests from folks wanting a restock. 🙂

It’s a cute box but totally not my style. I’ve ordered stuff from your summer collection instead. That said, I love the design of the B5 journal even though B5 is too big for me. I prefer A5 or smaller. And the journal case (is that what everyone is calling a trapper keeper?) is wonderful!

I just wanted to skip… I was told I had to cancel. Not a great customer service policy. I received the first ever A & O subscription box and most others , and now that I was told to cancel - the last box I received in March is my last box.

Unfortunately we are unable to support pauses due to inventory challenges. In the past when we allowed this, it led to large fluctuations in inventory, which as a smaller business it was difficult to predict and plan for. However, this is why we allow cancels at any time. We reopen subscriptions every quarter, so if you ever want to miss a box you can resign up!
