Omg. I just read a vulture article. This is a direct quote from Rhea "In the scene where I’m walking away from the prison and he does finger guns, we actually filmed me doing them back to him. Oh, really? (Interviewer) We did it in a very ambiguous way. It wasn’t like wink, wink or blow a kiss. It was very small. But Peter decided - and these are things you just don’t find out until you are looking at them on the screen and looking at the whole episode - that it looked a smidge too much like she’s saying, “I’m back in the game. I think she did it when she was off screen when we see Jimmy looking and the wall is hiding her, and by the time we see her again her pistol fingers are in the holster. I think it means, "Farewell, partner."

I'm sure that this isn't their final goodbye, I think off screen or maybe in a possible sequel, Kim becomes Jimmy's lawyer and massively reduces his sentence and maybe they even remarry

Pretty sure it's where they edited out the scene from her actually doing them, and she still had her fingers in position. Someone else already quoted the article where Rhea Seahorn said she did them, but they cut it because it looked like she was "back in the game". But then they left in the shot with her fingers still in position. Pretty neat. I already miss Kim and Jimmy. I need a spin off show with Huel. Better fuel Huel.

Idk, maybe? I can see why you think so and I think it is open to interpretation but I can't confidently call those finger guns. I know a lot of people were upset she didn't do them back but I don't think it was necessary. That she lied for him (not telling anyone he was alive) and that she lied to get into see him, she tells him (and us) that she loves him. She has put the slipping part (finger guns) behind her but the flame, quite literally represented in their shared cigarette, still burns eternal 🔥 That's all I wanted. To see them get the closure they needed. He was able to tell her he was okay and was going to be okay and she told him I never stopped loving you and will love you forever, but they say this in their own unique, private language. Perfect. 💯

I think they shot it in this hidden/up for interpretation way on purpose! With or without the pistols, the end can mean so many things. Hopefully everyone sad she didn’t do the pistol catches this moment so it can mean what they want it to mean! I see the lies (especially using her bar card) as a sign that she is okay with that slipping part of her and she feels safe having it moderation now. So many ways to slice and dice it! The way an ending to this type of show should be!

Throughout the show, Kim feels some "attraction" to the her dark side, she also enjoy to do scams, maybe even more than Jimmy, and this shows that as well, Jimmy does the finger gun, and she doesn't do it, however her hands are automatically in that position, like she couldn't resist, so they will end up going back to that dirty life again. Is also cool to notice that she struggles a little bit to go out of prison, like her body wants to do the finger gun(or wants to do scams again), but her mind doesn't, so she has that conflict with herself.

I think they left this open to interpretation on purpose! Some people think her gun salute in the "holster" is to say "Goodbye" but, I think it might mean she's coming back. Who knows!! Beautiful ending.

I dunno man, I think this might be making your mind see things that you wish were there. Possible with these writers? Sure. But this is almost too subtle, even for these writers. The idea and meaning of her doing that would make sense coming from these writers too, it just looked too coincidental and not enough finger gun action for it to be intentional. Maybe it is tho!! This show's ending was catastrophic. Pity that they work for mainstream Hollywood (AMC/Netflix) and that the writers have to put their so called moral/ethics in the middle of our face. Give the characters some breath, do not make them magically change in 5 minutes in the season's finale.

@@UDreviews A better ending would be if Jimmy hadn't swaped his genius 7 year deal against an absurd 86 years. Who still thinks confessing the government is redemption. Who still thinks really cares for him. He sacrificed himself for Kim when Lalo was trying to get him kill Gus, Kim abandoned him after the scam, saying they are toxic together but she knew Jimmy was even more toxic when without her. In the court she didn't even care when Jimmy went nonsensical and got his 86 year deal. Even Bill Oakley was less passive than Kim. Is love leaving the person you love saying nonsense in a court room? Jimmy didn't kill Hank or Gommey but he said it's his fault. Anyway he will soon regret his decision when he ll see that Kim visits him less and less and that she builds a new family in no time. I liked the episode, I really liked it up to the point he became stupid and I even still a bit was emotional in the seasons last scene in the prison. I think they are too shy and not enough gutsy to have made a controversial ending. Jimmy is a genius espexially when hr is Saul , and the writers acknowledged it the last episode by making him get a 7 year deal whereas he deserved at least 25 years. Anyways, for me the season was too much monochromatic character development was not up to par with previous seasons Howard scam was too much monomaniac My favorite episode was Nippy and the last episode but no all time TV sadly like BB ending was sadly Was still a great show but I feel like they could have done better for final season. The built up up to the end of season 5 was so great. I was probably too much excited about season 6 given I loved all first season and season 5 included.

When he saw that Kim recognized it’s a show, he finally actually became vulnerable - going as far as the bring up the truth about chuck, an unrelated issue to the court, but the root of why he has the Saul persona. He finally stopped putting on a show. Hence “Saul Gone”. Yea, the reason you didn’t get the finale is you didn’t notice why it’s titled “Saul Gone”. That will help. Also the show intentionally goes out of its way to display that Jimmy will have many friends in prison… Did you miss those scenes?
