Instructions on how to extract from MIA's game files (it will take a while if you have multiple chapters installed): 1. I used iMazing to access my iPhone with my computer to then copy the game's files onto my computer as an imazingapp file. 2. I changed the imazingapp file's file extension to a zip file and extracted everything from the zip file. All the interesting stuff is in Container then Documents then DLC. There is a bunch of P00 files there. 3. I used the QuickBMS extractor with the psp_p00.bms script to extract everything from the P00 files to be properly accessed. 4. The result is much of the game files organized, with labeled locations, comic cutscenes, sound effects, dialogue, and more. Note that you'll only see files from chapters you've currently downloaded assuming you haven't deleted the game at one point. 5. All dialogue is under Configs then StoryDictionary-[en] (for all the lines) and StoryDictionary_ControlTypeRelated (for identifying who says what lines). If you have multiple chapters installed, you may have files that end with "-00000001" or something like that. Just manually look into the files with Notepad to see what chapter they're associated with and see what they include. On Forgotten Memento's cut ending, I mentioned in a comments thread in my previous video last year (featuring just Oskar's cut lines) that I found a scene (04:27) that follows up on the final version of the chapter's ending that we got. I never posted about it because I honestly thought it was leftover dialogue for No Quarter's opening and so I didn't want to spoil it. I did not expect No Quarter to not include this scene and have almost no follow-up to Forgotten Memento, which is why I decided to post this now.

Thank you for your service with these kinds of videos man. Its always interesting to see what for stuff we could've had in the game (I'm mad that they deleted the conversation between Oskar and Gerhard honestly and the one between Ulli and Anna aswell, would've made the timeskip less confusing. I still hate the timskip with a passion)
@RoamerTummy3 ай бұрын
You're welcome! I don't know if you saw the Q&A social media post from the developers that the timeskip was accidentally made because Forgotten Memento and No Quarter were written by different people around the same time. Regardless, yeah, the timeskip's unironically still one of the most baffling writing decisions I've ever seen in media.

And the dialogue between Oskar and Gehrard should have been ther too

Very interesting. So it wasn't Ulli who found Anna & knocked Dhara out. Maybe it was Gustav or Max from the NDA? Or even Otto? Also, the following up of the latest chapter is interesting. As it seems, Ulli didn't destroy evidence (pretty sure it is somehow related to Gerhard, Oscar and Dahra), but hid it in his office instead. Do we see Oscar or Dhara again next chapter? Oscar does not seem convinced Ulli got rid of the evidence. I am a bit disappointed by the new chapter. Why is there no real follow up and why does it play almost two years after the last one? Hope the next chapter finally clears up what happened there and maybe Gerhard, Oscar and Dhara are caught. Would be a shame if they get away with this. Also, i still wonder how and when Gerhard escaped from Prison. I mean, he surely was convicted to life in prison after the murder of Father Lenz and the attempted murder at Otto & Anna and Arson at Hotel Reger in the first part of the game.

On No Quarter taking place in 1935, I have noticed there’s some subtle evidence in the previous chapters of Part 3 that they take place between 1934 and 1935, not 1933 as the opening and diary suggests. In other words, it seems No Quarter was meant to take place a month after Forgotten Memento, not 2 years. I’ll post a video showing all of this sometime soon, but basically Part 3’s dates have been very inconsistent since The Dada Killer, No Quarter is just the most obvious example. I do predict Gerhard’s escape will remain an unanswered question, but I do think some future chapter of Part 3 will resolve most loose ends of Forgotten Memento. I don’t know if Wiped Out is the last chapter of Part 3 or there’ll be more chapters to Part 3.

I was so confused about this part. Forgotten memento to was in 1933 and no quarter in 1935. Why was there a 1 year time jump? Unless it was a typo error?
@RoamerTummy7 ай бұрын
@@olivechandran5423 long story short (again, I’ll make a video on this later), I think Forgotten Memento was meant to take place in 1935 (not 1933 as the opening and diary suggests), and the developers probably saw that error and tried to correct it by explicitly making No Quarter take place in 1935. However, I don’t think they considered players who only relied on the opening and diary for the current dates, so it makes it look like No Quarter takes place 2 years after Forgotten Memento.

Btw, a Q&A from the developers on Facebook yesterday confirmed that No Quarter's timeskip was unintentional, they said that Forgotten Memento and No Quarter were written by different people at the same time, not one person sequentially. It's a weird writing decision, but it explains why No Quarter doesn't continue from Forgotten Memento, it was written at the same time as Forgotten Memento.

Wow!!! Thanks for the work you do for collating all the uncut scenes and dialogues. This gives a perspective after the chapters. Also that Dream of Death seems to be mini-game like they keep holding every now then which they call as carnival sort of.
@RoamerTummy7 ай бұрын
You're welcome! I don't think the Dream of Death name is referring to the traveling carnival events (would be quite a menacing name for them), I checked the assets of the game before No Quarter released and that name wasn't there in the same spot near other chapter titles as seen in this video.

I feel like the deleted dialogue with Ulli at the end of The Forgotten Momento should have been there.....even though it is unnecessary
@RoamerTummy7 ай бұрын
In my opinion, I do think that scene was necessary and I've no idea why it was cut other than to make Forgotten Memento's ending more of a dramatic cliffhanger. But given how No Quarter continues without completely addressing Forgotten Memento, this scene would've helped in giving some follow-up.
@olivechandran54237 ай бұрын
Yeah, there should have been some kind of follow up. I was so damn confused when I watched the latest chapter.

Hey dear , what are your thoughts about forgotten memento , do you have any theory regarding that Max frost guy . Would love some opinion from your side . Thank you for these clearance , the makers quite baffled the endings and date for sure .

You're welcome! I quite liked and enjoyed Forgotten Memento, it's my second favorite chapter of all of Murder in the Alps (my top favorite is The Dada Killer), although it needs a future chapter to explain everything that happened in Forgotten Memento in order to make sense. I honestly don't know what they might be planning with Max Frost and can't really theorize, I can only really wait and see what they do with him.

In one scene of Ulli and Anna conversation when Ulli found her it might be in the chapter of wipe out i don’t know if it but it’s my theory
@RoamerTummy7 ай бұрын
I'd like to believe that, but from the way the game files are organized, I'm now inclined to think that scene was just scrapped for Forgotten Memento and not meant for future chapters.
