Sithara is a singer. Rimi is a singer, Both sithara and Rimi are singers. Either Sithara or Rimi sing a song. Sithara doesn't like icecream. Rimi doesn't like ice cream, Neither sithara nor Rimi doesn't likes icecream. Sithara not only singer but also great bharathanatyam dancer.

"To" is more about direction, "For" is more about intent. You can say "The letter is for Bob, but I gave it to Mary. She can give it to him". Because the letter is FOR Bob- it's intended for Bob. But I gave it TO Mary, physically. Then later Mary can give it TO Bob, physically. If I had given it to Bob myself, I could say "The letter is for Bob. I gave it to him". Because in that case the intent and the direction of giving were the same
